| Quote Barry Clegg 2nd="Barry Clegg 2nd"How do Cas fans feel about this, i know if it where the other way and we where sharing at Glasshoughton i certainly would not be keen on the idea?'"
Dont really fancy sharing but knowing exactly where the location is, the road between methley and wakefield, isnt far at all from cas, its probably the same distance from cas as it is from the centre of wakefield.
Not that i want to share anyway, but its more in the middle than say glasshoughton would be for you.
I drive by the location every morning and there has been a little bit of work going on there for about 6 weeks now.

Pretty sure we have outline planning permission.
All though of course funding is the most important thing, to dismiss the likes of planning permission as window dressing is ridiculous, without it you cant have a stadium simple as, as for feasability studies, i'm sure as a wakey fan, you need any feasability study to come back positive.

l think Vastmans point is that with funding the rest will follow!!!! Especially in the current economic climate! If any group/company/consortium is prepared to spend £15 Million + (which will mean jobs), then it is very unlikely that planning permission will not be granted or that a feasibility study would not support the project!

We're onto videos now. Where was Wakey's sketch again? Best get it drawn up sharpish if it takes another 10+ years to build.

Ah yes, of course. In [iyour [/iopinion the only thing that's of any consequence is the only thing which neither of us have. All those [iother[/i things which Cas' plan has but Wakey's doesn't are simply [iwindow dressing[/i, and all that earlier stuff about "you need a feasibility study" and "it's only outline permission" (... "Find where I said that!!!!") is all just bollox now.
I never saw that one coming...

Aye, If only you'd had the brass for Thornes Park, eh? After all, the feasibility study was no problem was it?

Correct. If you have the money you can make the other things happen. However having the others without the money is fairly pointless.

But that was the problem!!!!! We didn't have the money!!!! Do you think the feasibility study would not have supported the project if somebody had 60 million they wanted to spend to regenerate the area and create jobs??????

Correct, the feasibility study was fine - the cost was not hence it was feasible
had WMDC (remember their project not ours) got the money it would have happened. You seem desperate to disprove a very obvious rationale that a shared stadium is looking a very real possibility by continually digging at Wakefield - can't think why as I would suggest that neither club has much control over what happens next

[url=http://www.wakefield.gov.uk/News/PressReleases/news/pr1911.htmONLY the money? Hmmm.. what do you think?[/url
Quote SimonBarrettLeader of Wakefield Council Cllr Peter Box said: "We have carried out extensive consultation and looked long and hard at the feasibility of building a stadium in Thornes Park. We now understand the cost is estimated at around £60m [size=150and that Wakefield College cannot vacate the site until 2012[/size.'"
You just can't tell what a feasibility study's going to turn up, which is why they have them. Still, you Wakey fans keep living in your magic stadium dream world if you like (just like you accused us of doing three years ago) - It's no skin off my nose. But ffs don't waste your time coming on here and spinning your crap to us.
We've been there, done that.
