| We are stuck with Shifty we all know, regardless if he is fit or not.Trying to think beyond this season.
But this year with not much money it can only be a national league player,or an N.R.L reserve grader with a european passport with a point to prove.
No super league club will loan us their half-backs given the competition in the league now, (we got lucky with Danny Brough
in 06 as Hull were flying in the league that year).
Black imo would be a good choice from the national league, even Thorman and Rooney would be good back ups compaired
to the one halfback at Bradford

| Quote: Speedy "My grannies right T!T mate, its about as much use. TBF ive defended him time and time again, Cant any longer ive had enough. he's too old and needs to go, get rid, we got to pay no matter what i know but i would bring a young one through, cant be worse then "Tampax Sherwin" one week in three out FFS
What his stats Gaz how many has he played v what he could have played,'"
Out of 60 potential starts, he's made 42.
My point is that we're much better off paying someone and have them available some of the time when they can make a difference rather than paying someone to not be available and not have the resources to replace them with anyone who is able to win games singlehandedly.
Add to that, I'd also prefer an injured Sherwin to be there at training for Brierley and other youngsters at Cas to pick his brains. rather than him lounging on a beach in Oz with severance pay.

Rooney wouldn't touch Cas with a barge pole! Cas wouldn't be able to afford his salary and any transfer fee that you would have to pay.

Is that why he went to Barrow because you were struggling to pay his salary?

He went because Barrow wanted him and we didn't really need him. We saved his contract money to reinvest, it's called shrewd business management!

| two sides, ends to be completed at a later date, lets face it even that will have a better atmosphere than your proposed 12000+ all seater stadium that will get about 4000 if lucky..

| This thread is about Sherwin, not stadium developments.
For what it's worth I think Friday's performance proved how much of a key player Sherwin is for us, because without him on the field we looked completely lost.

I'm not sure whether that was because of the lack of Sherwon or just the lack of someone to take the pressure off of Chase. Once McGoldrick started getting into the line with him we seemed to have some ideas. Albiet it being in the last ten minutes when the game was virtually over!
I just wonder what would have happened had Mcgoldrick been at SO in stead of FB on Friday night!
