Wonder what they will all think of Mr Box if the Newmarket site gets the go ahead, (i must be the only Cas fan who thinks it probable, its not like the council hasn't helped them out before in the past is it)?

| Quote: binks "Ok hows this
Sat night Trinity Tigers play at home in front of 16000 Billy Slater scores winner and sees us beat Saints 24 22
Sun Afternoon 2 x Feeder clubs ( Wakefield and Castleford ) play at home on alternate weekends in the National league
easy where do we sign'"
A fair few of both sets of fans are assuming a merger is inevitable . A fair few of those people are saying that they will stop attending games if they ain't played at the site of their choice .
A lot are saying that one team will eventually cease to exist .
Surely binks' idea is the way forward . If there is going to be a merge then there is going to be a merge . Accept it , and support the new team(s) .
It will surely happen at some point anyway , and somebody is going to grieve over the loss of their team . Maybe not the current generation of supporters , but maybe the next .
I am sure many of you have followed your team for lots of years through good times and bad . Hold those memories and cherish them , but please consider the next generation of fans . Take the hurt now and spare your kids the heartbreak of going through what is looking inevitable . Kind of like letting a dog bite you than bite your child if you see what I am meaning .
Good luck for the future however it turns out . I hope both teams pull through .
I do rather feel that it is bullet-biting time for you though .

| What about HKR/hull fc......one with a nice shiny stadium the other with a stadium that is delapidated. Why arnt these 2 clubs having pressure put on them like cas/wakey are to share.
Cas/wakey are getting bullied if you ask me.

| It is easier from the outside looking in . I went through it with Bramley . They now groundshare with Stanningley at a new ground (in Rodley) and it appears to be working for them .

| This really is a no brainer for the council if they are getting involved financially................
The Stadium and the proposed developments with it at Glasshoughton, combined with the existing attractions are a license to print money for Wakefield Council...........................
It really is staggering that some fans cannot see what is as plain as day!!
Of course Newmarket would be nearer for me, but what a crap day out that would offer!!
Like a few Cas fans have said, I for one would watch Trinity whenever Cas weren't in town-I can see quite a few doing the same too.
The one thing that worries me is Trinity going to Barnsley, suicide for them as a club, but what would the councils reaction be? Would they still assist with Glasshoughton if Trinity weren't involved???

Peter Box is a Cas shareholder,no conflict of interest there.
Not that Cas fans ever feel victimised!
Homophobic chants .....It's a conspiracy.
Throwing bottles onto the playing area ....It's a conspiracy.
We're not the only ones who feel the Rugby league world's against us you know!

I never said Box didn't have a conflict of interest, but it's his job to do what's best for the region. Just because the best option for the region is a stadium at Glasshoughton rather than Newmarket, that doesn't make it a conspiracy against Wakey.
I'd have no doubts if Box wasn't involved in the decision making process (and isn't it meant to be an independent evaluation anyway?), the decision would go to Glasshoughton anyway. If it didn't there would be a clear conspiracy, because it's so obviously the best location, and I think all Wakey fans (if deep down past their rose-tinted glasses) know that.

Yep which is why Wakey fans are already saying it's a stitch up.

| just wonder what all your reactions would be if the independant inquiry came out in favour of newmarket.
just suppose for a minute
would you go watch cas there
would you support it
would you want cas to remain at wheldon road
would you go it alone with GH
and when you have answered all these questions, just try and understand our feelings and reactions, because we are entilted to an opinion also

| I wonder what map you are using. As the crow flies on Google Earth Newmarket is 3.75 miles from Bell Vue and 4.6 miles from the Jungle.
