I was happy with commitment from the start to finish, just a few little school boy error's which led to us losing the game. Our fitness and defence looks very impressive, a massive improvement on last year! I dont think we'll be far away this year, once we cut the little error's.

Warrington will be a very hard to team to beat this year.

Ive always been a McGoldrick fan, good servant to the club etc + not a bad player. Last night i thought, he looked disinterested, out of place + definatly not upto SL standard icon_sad.gif

Quote: Asgardian13 "Very marginal incidents that hardly constituted offences. Thaler got this mostly right, though he did give a penalty against Morley. Worst 'offence' of the night was McGoldrick striking out at King just 'cause he got tackled in goal - far worse than Morley or Carvell.[/quote]

Is that why Cas got 50% more penalties than Warrington?

We lost because we made two crucial errors that lead to Warrington tries. End of. Otherwise it was a very very close game.

Both Carvells and Morleys incident are very poor indeed and suspensions are due. The flare up with McGoldrick and King was hand bags in a tense game.

Both sides showed lots of positives and Cas must learn to tighten up at key moments.

Major point for me is that one of the best fullbacks in the league is on our wing. That must be changed IMO

We got given about 5 penalties in the last 6 or 7 minutes to make it look like he'd favoured us. They were all for nothing incidents.

3 minutes later, King still wound up, is involved with McGoldrick. McGoldrick, (who had a good game!!) no doubt should not have lashed out at King. However, McGoldrick seems to be taking exception to his body position in the tackle. His legs are up in the air with his weight on the side of his neck. No excuse for lashing out, however it's not a good position to be in with the weight of 2 players then on top of you. Hence the frustration, especially after the Morley elbow incident a few minutes earlier.
'"

So 'foul play' by Wire lads is deliberate, pre-meditated evil that deserves sending off, 'Saint' McGoldrick, however, was provoked beyond reason ( by being tackled ) and needs to be forgiven for an understandable reaction? You couldn't make it up!

Warrington just had that little extra quality..we pushed a very good side close.

Defense and overall fitness has improved on last year which is a big plus.

Cut out the silly errors we will win more than we lose.

Good to see Mcgoldricks promise to improve his discipline lasted two games d040.gif

He evened it up when warrington was 12 points in the lead with 5 mins to go and thaler knew we couldn't win.
Some of the penelies given to cas in the last 5 mins were ridiculous and he gave them to even things up.

A sign of a good referee is the one you rarely notice on the field.

In my opinion Thaler is a poor referee with a massive ego, made bigger by the fact it was a sky game.

He probably thought he would make duff calls so the spotlight would be on him icon_sad.gif

He should have got the captains together after about 30 mins and said sort this out now or players are going in the bin for 10. Weak ref ruined the game, it was like watching the local amateur club in the end.

I have no problem with the result Warrington played well and ground out a win. However what I do have a problem with is an incompetant ref. Listen to the Sky commentary on the game they spend most of the time talking about the ref and not the actual 'action'.

This game needed a strong ref not someone still learning his trade, after some of the blunders he made I doubt he will be on a sky game for a while Mr Cummins will keep blunderman hidden for a while.
