| sacked by his clubs:
Leeds - left to go to Sydney (who would not go)
Sydney - Left after playing 8 games to return to HUll
Hull - sacked for the above reasons
Batley - Left - topotion in contract to join a super league club
Crusaders - Went bust
York - currently in first team
I assumed the phrased sacked of by his clubs refers to the plural - care to expand or prehaps give him a chance to develope the Talent which Sydney Roosters & Hull clearly saw in

How've you come to that conclusion? He was sacked once (by Hull). Left Leeds to try his hand in Australia (fair play to the lad, unlike the super stars of our game like McGuire, Burrow, Peacock, Sinfield, Wilkin, Senior, Gleeson, etc who take the easy option of staying in the UK). Problems at Hull and left Crusaders when they imploded. Fair play to the lad whose gone back to York and refound some form. In my view, he has improved the squad playing in the same kind of role as Ryan McGoldrick (jack of all trades). Welcome to Castleford Tigers JT

| If he comes with the right attitude and wants to earn a 2-3 yr deal with Cas then I think he could be a decent signing as a utility back.
I've noticed it hasn't worked for him at half back at York and has ended up playing full back.

Got to be halves or 13 for us, can't see him wanting a wing berth?
Before I get a bagging, I don't think he is a 13, but could manage the channel on websters size who is like a back rower.
Who knows in the playing shirt lottery where people will end up! (thats a joke btw, we don't get much of that here lately)

Certainley has the ability to be a lot better player than Mcgoldrick, much worst off the field, he was in front of our Chairman at the time over 8 times for things off the field.

| I thought he had a spell at Dewsbury where he was sacked too?
Either way, I can't see why we would want to put ourselves in a position where more disciplinary issues and off field antics can take place. Thing's are bad enough anyway

He was sacked from Hull, went to Dewsbury, Left there to go to Crusaders, when they went pop I think thats when he ended up at York.
Does some good stuff, but an utter liability off pitch who seems to think he has demi-god status for being an RL player (workmate used to live near him and said when he signed for Hull that he was pretty well permenantly in the locals, ed and giving it the big I am.
Odd signing to say the least.

| He's been positively underwhelming for York all season. With his ability he should be putting in far better showings than he has. Not a worthwhile signing in my opinion, but anyone's better than McGoldrick...

| I remember a certain player coming from Hull K R to Fev and everyone in S/L saying he was no good He then went on to Wakey who on their forum didnt want him go ask them now if they would give him to some one else. JT will now be in a full time environment with Cas and as a club you have nothing to loose Compare his wages with mcgoldrick who wasn't doing anything for you it's Cas who are the only winners if he's no good he will be gone give him a chance see what happens

| With the exception of Ellis, every signing so far is an improvement on the player they will replace:
Webster => Whichever second rower is stuck in the centres in any given week
Shenton => Arundel
Tansey => McGoldrick
Gilmour => Mitchell
Another second rower, loose forward, scrum half and a winger need adding now.

| Has the talent but a big question mark over his commitment to be a Super League player.
If he doesn't press the self destruct button, you've got a decent player on your team.
