Hopefully these 2 signings to be announced will indicate the calibre of player that we are aiming to bring in. Loads of money free'd up with the OOC players.

Out of those listed I can see maybe 3 at the most staying with Cas Tigers. We should bring in about 8 new signings to cover those leaving and as always bring a few young 'uns through.

I would like to see Shenton back, but not on silly money.

If Saints want rid, time to negotiate or leave alone. But beggars cant be choosers and Cas aint very atractive to most players nowadays

That's probably 500k on the salary cap - that's a lot to play with for say: Michael Shenton, Jake Webster, Matty Smith and some barnstorming south sea islander second rower then some squad players.

I would retain Youngquest, Arundel, Griffin, Ferres and Davies. I really do think people are being very harsh on Griffin - perhaps just another scapegoat that people are trying to pin blame on.

Snitch has impressed this season and probably out the lot has looked like he's wanting to earn a contract the most. If he's willing to play for less might be worth a new deal as a squad player but he could probably walk into somewhere like Widnes on a better deal.

Just a question of whether we can sign players to make these people want to stick around (with the higher earners going on to reduced terms).

That's 24 players if we get them all signed up. We have also have kids like Martin coming through the ranks too.

I reckon we'd probably only need one or two back-rowers and a half and we're nearly there.

I don't think Cas will have a choice with Youngquest, he seems pretty sure on going to NY, Arundel & Ferres are apparently done deals so again nothing Cas can do if that's true, Davies is a must keep.

Griffin however, nothing to do with him being a scapegoat - you're the only person who appears to see any sort of talent in him. He just isn't Super League standard.

Or his 'apparent' inability to tackle, when he's not even in the top ten. In fact, he's not even in the top 50 for missed tackles.

Seems to me like he's a very good attacking player. He just needs someone inside him that is strong in defence and can help nurture his game.
