=#0080FFI am quite fearful of the expectation that has been put on Brierley over the last year or so.
I'd like to see him get his chance against Barrow.
It would be easy to say he should play against the likes of Quins, Salford and Crusaders but we need to take into account that we need to be winning those games, at least with Barrow he'd get a run out with the first team and if we lose that game then it's no massive loss. We'd all like a cup run, but giving some experience to a youngster is important too.
Ryan will get his chance when it's the right time and let's hope that he gives TM a reason to play him every week.

Disagree completely with that statement. I feel a cup run is our only chance of winning anything or coming near to winning something. |

Yeah I agree with that ^. Plus on our day I do think we're capable of springing a surprise or two. However the league requires consistency, something we're not.
I still can't understand how we beat Catalan with no scrum half and no full back (in theory).

They had no stand off and a full back who was injured during the game. We were as bad as each other i guess. |

Yeah, they got a good 65 minutes out of Greenshields though didn't they, played a wonderful part in their final try. A lot of teams getting some crucial injuries this season, seems more then ever.

=#0080FFSo when would you give Brierley his chance? Against Wigan? Against Quins? There's arguments for and against every single game he could play in the first grade. Or do we just not play him at all?
I think the fact that he hasn't been included in any squads so far this season suggests he's not ready for Super League in the eyes of TM and the management but if he's ever going to replace Mr Sherwin he's got to be given a chance to prove himself.
If there is any confidence in his ability we should not see playing him against Barrow as a risk anyway.
The problem with bringing youngsters through is fans demand wins, it's hard to see the positives of giving a youngster a chance to play if it comes at a cost.
I don't really know the answer to this one, I'm just thinking out loud. |

We've played a lot of tough games so far this season. The next 6-10 games should see us with a much better chance of picking up some wins, particularly as players return from injury. |
