Can anyone confirm our tryscorer just before half time? Sky say Razza, Hendo definitely said Widders.'"
But then Hendo and Ron changed their mind to Raz (pass back from Widders)

| Really disappointing second half performance today. Some will point out poor refereeing decisions but we were shocking after half time. and never looked like taking the game to KR.
For some reason, we played the last 15 minutes as if we were 12 points in front, no urgency whatsoever. Apart from perhaps the short kick-off in the last minute.
Higgins and Huby were standouts for me today, but I reckon Huby will be lucky to escape punishment for a high shot on Vella.

| What is still surprising after all the time TM has been in charge is how after our half time team talk, especially at home, we come out and look lethargic, unenthused and generally not bothered.....
The way the team came out for the second half you would of believed we were losing 60 nil.......and had nothing to play for...not winning 20-18 in a game that would effectively secured our play off position imho

Is that all ? I thought there were none of us Cas fans there.

| I was right in the corner where Westerman went over. In my opinion it was a perfectly good try, and came at a time when Cas could have got back into the game. Very proud of our guys for that 2nd half performance.

| Just got back.
What a great game with some excellent attacking play from both sides.
The second-half turn around was more to do with we we did do rather than what you didn't do; Justin Morgan told Paul Cooke to push the defensive line further to the right to which our middle defenders responded and in turn our right edge responded. When this happened we cut off Chase and wore you forwards down and after that we went on to turn the screw.

| I was slightly worried at half time, with chase running the show but thought if Morgan could pin point this well enough, then we might sneak it.
A real turning point in my opinion was Cas opting to take the 2 points on offer at the first attempt on our line just as the second half started. The body language from Ryan Hudson showed how desperate he looked for the 2 points which Rovers may have latched on to. strange one that, as I think if you would have scored and converted then to make it 26-18 the game would have panned out much differently.
Anyway, well played Cas, see you in the playoffs!?

Then we had a penalty at a very similar distance later in the game and we took the tap and scored a try.
Im glad Cas took the decision they did, As you say if they score a try a very diffrent games appears.

Whilst it was poor defence rather than the referee that cost us today, some of his decisions today where nothing short of bizarre (the one sticking in my mind is when kr tried to intercept a cas pass, knocked on then picked up the ball with alibert waving play on, and fox scoring in the corner) and you are not the first kr fan who has said to me that the try should have stood. It does make you wonder if alibert would be allowed to referee at this level if it wasnt for the fact the rfl want a french ref for internationals.
Congratulations on securing 4th spot.

The crowd was closer to 9000 than 8000 (8709 I think) HKR fans filled up about 2/3 of the Princess Street side so just under 3000 of them is about right.

We're coming to make some noise!: |
|
| Just a minor thing, the replay shows clearly that Welham went to make the tackle and didnt play at the ball meaning Foxy's try was correct. Couldnt see the Westerman incident but I think it was the touch judge that was 100% he had touched the corner flag before grounding the ball.
All the talk about getting rid of Video Refs and in this game a VR would have benefitted both sides IMO.
On the replay it does look like Cooke was offside though didnt really notice that at the game.
I think your injuries through the game killed you, sure the ref wasn't good and the game would have been closer but at the end of the day when your walking wounded you cant play to your best as has happened with us this year and its not nice being told "injuries cant be used as an excuse"!!
