| Steven Tyrer released by Widnes. Would anyone have him at Cas?
SL experience, cover at centre which we need and also a good goal kicker. I think he's worth a go even if it is just an initial year to prove his worth

No, if Widnes are releasing him, he can't be that good.

Yes but English clubs always release youngsters to fit in a 3rd rate overseas player.

| Rangi Chase was at Headingley today, looked to be having a nice conversation with Gary Hetherington in the players bar aswell.

Guessing he was there as a guest of Weller Hauraki.

He was also at The Galpharm last Tuesday to pick up his award but I don't think that means he's signed for Huddersfield. But nice try all the same.

| Yeah, I can see Rangi going to Leeds. They're crying out for a half back with skill, pace and a great game brain - a sort of Rob Burrows figure. They'd have gone a long way this year if they'd had someone like that in the ranks.

It looks like we'll also get Dowes and both us and Shudds are linked with Phelps; I gather that Lauaki is off to Wigan.

Lauaki could be a great player, he just needs to control his agression and stop giving away silly penalties.

A frustratingly stupid player - he can be like a wrecking ball and has a decent offload, but far too easy to wind up and as you say, a total liability. I can't see him adding much value at Wigan, other than making Gareth Hock feel clever.
