| Cas fan, Wakey fan, we are both in the mire . Funding is not there for either and it looks very bleak .
But whos fault is it, in the main it's the clubs fault, they should have made changes and given value for money for the paying fan, lets be honest are grounds are just the same as twenty / thirty years ago and thats not on, no wonder gates and the rest have not gone up . But i also lay the blame with the RFL who push push push for a global it seems game of Rugby League, wtf if they cant sustain the heartlands of the game what the hell do they expect in a world audience . It's getting to the stage where all clubs should exclude the RFL and start there own with a structure that all clubs and i mean all clubs can live with . On a side note screw SKY, go and watch .

| At last what a cracking post, bang on. Time to evolve and move albeit were behind the 8-ball despite being told otherwise by our bod (roughly 8 years with regards moving home). But what other sport is dictated to by its governing body to the extreme where even the referees arent sanctioned or governed by its office but the heartland clubs (who arent bankrolled by the rfl) are left chasing shadows at the worst economic downtime since the war. Love your club, love your rugby league because nobody else will apart from sky and the europeans, celts, or southerners as far as we are concerned. yours m62 rugby corridor supporter

Unless i have missed something but the funding is in place four Newmarket once planning is granted. I agree with everything you have said especially about sky, with the price of my HD i cannot justify paying nearly £600 a year to watch rugby and nick jr!
Good luck!

I'm sure there was something about possible funding issues just before Christmas wasn't there?

Yes, funding is reliant on the development of the 'whole' proposed site.......funding for the 'whole site' is in place..........what is not in place at this stage is planning permission.
IF planning is given the green light then............l am sure you can figure out the rest!

Aye! No planning permisson, no stadium, but we all knew that months ago!
No sure on time scale, but have heard outline planning permission for the full site will go in imminently.......then depending on the outcome full planning permission will go in very soon afterwards.

Have to say it certainly confused me. Really hope there aren't the barriers we seem to be facing

not sure, but think the money is there from the developers, but they need us (or you!) and we need them. Sure they are others that can expalin it in more detail though.

| With this talk of a trim down to 12 clubs you're both up the creek.
I personally don't think it will happen but the Crusaders' crowd the other night must get a few bums twitchy

24084.jpg Disco - Expansion of the game is a good thing, undoubtedly, but in the main what people simply want to assert is that you don't kill the roots to spread the tree.
The Curtism - The battles are fought on the field and the friends are made in the bar. There's no hatred among real men.
