Quite disappointed at the timing of the announcement too. In a week where everything is rosy for the club and we would be looking at attracting a much bigger crowd at our first home game since the cup final, why would we announce the departure of our best player if it could deter fans (fickle as they are!)

185K - not a bad deal at the time (april 2013 ?) but with this seasons showing I think his value would now be in the 300K bracket.

Recalling that the deal was done in October 2013 ( or thereabouts ) a price of around £180,000 would have been quite generous given Clark's progress to that date. How many actual paid-for transfers happen these days? Not many, and even fewer north of £100k.
