Quote FearTheVee="FearTheVee"What a great side to watch Cas are this year , hope you keep it up and have a great season - always been my "second team" to the extent that such a thing can ever exist!
One thing bugging me about Friday though is the crowd - I haven't kept much of an eye on your attendances this year but surely that was a hugely disappointing turnout for a top of the table match?'"
It was disappointing but not a surprise for me.
Friday night games are much more difficult for fans that live further (we have fans in London, Wales, North East) etc and equally just as difficult for families with young kids.
For me, Friday night games are always going to knock 1k off plus we have a lot of casual fans that don't turn out when the game is on Sky, preferring to sit at home or in the pub.
Similarly, Hull brought probably 3k to the game a few weeks back and the Wigan crowd was boosted with probably double the fans Saints brought (only about 1k).
Also, we've had a fair few neutrals come down this season too and with everyone playing on a Friday night virtually, a lot of fans from Wakey, Leeds may have gone to their respective game.
