| Quote vastman="vastman"Strange when the RL compliance Manager states Wakefield were not even in the bottom three. So who were the bottom three?
Obviously Fax were one might not have been the Crusties as their application might have been OK until their owners pulled the plug. So there could be two clubs worse than us and one might be you. Not saying it is but why Fax fans pick on us I'm not sure, just shows what media perceptions can do. I assume it's the insolvency bit that they dislike but that rule was changed rather ironicaly to protect Crusaders and I suspect s few other big name clubs in the future - you can be sure it wasn't brought in to protect Wakefield!
It's dreadfully flawed system IMO, end of.'"
You must have been above Quins and Salford then, agreed shocking, inept system. Just what you'd expect of the RFL

Reading various message boards it's the uncertainty as to where you'll be playing that seems to be upsetting them a lot. Looks like Crusaders bid wasn't as good as yours and neither was Fax's. If you listen to what's been said, Crusaders withdrew their application after consultation with the RFL, so the RFL will have known that they weren't going to be up to a 3 year licence. So that leaves London, Widnes, Salford and us methinks for the final place in the bottom three. Far be it from me to speculate, but...

What uncertainty, we play at BV until NM comes on line - likewise - you play at the jungle until Glasshoughton. So why are we any different from yourselves. It's not a Cas v Wakey issue for me it's just that I fail to see the difference between yourselves and us. It's just an assumption that Fax fans have made that it was us they lost out to when it could have been you or HKR or whoever.
The only issue they can get us on is the admin but we didn't change the rule.

According to James Elston on Radio Leeds last night you are still in talks with the landlord to extend the lease after December.
Question: Where will you play next season?
"We are working with the landlord to extend that "( The lease?) and "if it means us staying here, until the new stadium is built, it's what we would like to do and it's what we think we can do"
His words not mine.

| If it falls through with the BV landlord I understand there's a ready built Super League standard stadium that Wakey could apply to play in. From a national perspective it's also fairly close by to Wakefield ... I think it's called The Shay Stadium.

Mate, the only Chase you're likely to see in Wakey is the BV landlord looking for his rent money.

Funny that cos nigel wood on boots n all said all applications confidential and not announced who finished in what place and when asked if crusaders hadn't pulled out would wakey have gone he wouldn't not answer yes or no. He said all applications confidential - he also stated that Wakefield and Halifax may have mis interpreted some of the information regarding the merits of wakey getting in above fax.

Looking at this again, HKR got a grade B licence, whereas Cas, Quins, Salford, Wakey, Widnes got grade C. So surely it was one of us 5 that they lost out to.
