| What i find baffling is Matterson has had 4 years of watching training and playing RM and he STILL doesnt know which position to play him in....now this is just not acceptable. the team should have structure and stability, its bad enough having a squad small and unable to cover for our long term seasonal injuries (we know who they are) but having to chop and change constantly to accomodate just 1 player just cannot be right...

| The other way to look at it is that one of the things Ryan has developed into is a utility back/half, who an cover a variety of positions when there are injuries.
I suspect that's too complicated though, and it's much easier to go with the "TM buggers about the team to fit in Ryan".
I understand why fans turned on Korkidas las year: he was crap and a liability, who failed to even remotely to live up to his reputation.
But some now seem to have got into the habit of thinking there [ihas[/i to be a player to turn and and hound: After Korkidas left, they turned on Sione, and now he's gone someone seems to have elected McGoldrick, a player who has committed himself to this club over a number of years, even when Wests tried to stop him coming. Frankly it's bollox.
After a season like this one, would it be too much to suggest that some Cas supporters might actually consider [isupporting [/ithe team?

| For me Korkidas earned the stick he got because he was crap for us, whatever he's done elsewhere is irrelevant. He was garbage at Cas.
It's not about hounding I don't think, watching Sione was frustrating because he was consistantly poor for us and yet we kept putting him out there and he was costing us the ball all the time. Fans have every right to be annoyed when they see a player performing below the standards that they should be doing and that's exactly what it was with Sione.
With McGoldrick we know he is capable of better so to see him throwing poor passes around, making errors and giving away penalties away is very frustrating to see.
I agree, we should be getting behind him and supporting him because he seems to thrive off the fans, but he hasn't given anyone anything to sing about in a while. Hopefully next season we'll see the old Ryan McGoldrick back and he'll get the fans back on his side.
That being said, there are numerous threads elsewhere discussing McGoldrick, how about we give some credit to Huby and Owen in here?

Fair point. They were outstanding on Sunday.

Chance would be a fine thing, not even been on the other forum since the lost, too many of them on there seem happier when we lose as it gives them more to moan about.

| Owen and Chubs were outstanding. My only concern is owen hasn't been signed (as far as i know) on a long term deal.
Owen's perfomance in such a high profile game will have upped the interest from other parties. Come on Cas lets get the deal done.

| Thought Owen was Cas's best player by a long way v Wigan.
Not too sure why he didn't get SKY MOM award,
Probably due to him being on the losing side, rarely do SKY give a losing player MOM.
They do but very rarely.
