Insults are against the AUP so I'd suggest you quit with that. All I've done is pass on info from a part connected to Gentle who hadn't been wrong in the past, just look at the Saints rumour thread and when I posted that the same source had told me they had signed Flannagan.

I don't know why I'm even replying to another poor Wakey troll but congrats on becoming the latest troll on my ignore list.

Yes Gentle pulled out of the deal, but that doesn't make me wrong does it? I only found out today, when I then passed on the info. I have no reason to go into hiding as I'm comfortable in the knowledge I passed on info that was 90% correct in the end, the only duff info was the contract was signed, this is when he pulled out in reality which isn't my fault, is it? I do know why he changed his mind though now, but I wont be saying.

Ian Millward IS the new Tigers HC. We need to start by supporting him. Things might have gone wrong down the line regarding getting the man we wanted. IM might be the 2nd or 3rd choice - this we will never find out.

Lets get behind him for 2012 and more importantly lets get behind TM and the boys for the remainder of 2011.

I hope this news isn't correct. If it is then i'd say this would be the clubs 4th choice. And after so many good applications to get Millward means what the club has offered the other 3 is poor. It shows once again the club is take take take from the fans but give little back. I do not like Millward one bit. He has proved all year he does not rate us with his weekly predictions. It will be a has been aussie coming to take a say cheque from cas but he won't be taking any of my money i'm afraid

Tell you what if fredparky from leigh says he is a top coach then you guys believe him.
He(fred)has a 10 percent better truth rate than nosey parker and a 20 percent better than gronk!.
Nah seriously if Millward is your man support him to the hilt and you will pull thru.
now wheres that gronk quote about having bigger and better coaches to interview than JustinM ?lol.

I love these forums; we haven't confirmed anyone, but already the 'new man' is:
Crap
Wont be getting my money
Is certain to be a bad decision
Doesn't rate us....... and so on.

I genuinely never really rated Parker, or hadn't heard of David Woods, nobody had a clue about TM as a coach, Steady and Ming should have been a perfect coaching appointment, I thought Kirk Dixon was a RL and RU reject...... and so on.......... I also remember back in the day people giving Danny Orr a load of grief and the coach becuase he wasn't good enough, Vowles the same!

So, if being a Cas fan teaches us anything, isn't it to keep your powder dry and give people a go? Genuinely they could appoint Andy Farrell, Keith Senior, Col Gadaffi and Sly and Gobbo as the coaching team for me and if mid next season we are still fielding half a team under 24 and 7 to 10 of them academy products and we are 8th or better, I couldn't care less. Being our head coach is not about what you may have said and done elsewhere, it is about what you do and bring to this appointment.

MD, agree with everything you've said.

As you say no matter who the HC is we should all get behind them, base your opinions on the table at the end of the year not before the season has kicked off, as long as the youngsters are still coming through and we're handily placed in the table and pushing for silverware. It wasn't that long a go people were calling for TM to go, now a days the majority of the des have vanished and are sorry to see TM go.

So as DM says no matter who the new coach is lets get behind them (when they are finally announced) and let's see what they bring to the club.

I haven't insulted you (maybe "div" has upset you?).

You didn't only "pass on info", you gloated like a 5 year old in the school playground. It's come back and bitten you big style.

Loads of people on here will know REAL stuff, but they don't come on here, showing off - especially when it was never actually true.

How on Earth can you say your info was 90% correct, you plonker?

You have been proved to be 100% WRONG.

Next time you have "inside information", keep it to yourself and just enjoy the warm glow you will have inside. This will save you any further embarrassment and you can come on afterwards and say "I knew that".

Of course, no-one will ever believe anything you post again.

If this is true, then agree with the poster, we need to be supporting him rather than turning against the club already. Who knows, Millward might have signings ready that nobody had even thought of.

Im sure IM is a very good coach, can he be any worse than we have already had at Wheldon Road, he has a good past record in SL and the experience of coaching a big team, so im sure this will be all useful to Cas (and no im not saying Cas are a big team).

I wouldn't say if I were you either, you've had your fans led well and truly up the garden path. C'mon admit it you are Richard Wright !!

I think he could work out well.

If he had been appointed at Wakey, whilst not "excited" by him, I would not have been overly disappointed either.

the worry in all this for any cas fan is that it seems the club have offered the job to their short-listed canidates , at least 2 maybe 3 people . They have turned the job down.
why is this , thats what i want to know ?
it cant be purely financial as the salary would be decent and its a big opportunity to join a "club on the up"
noble has said he wants to return to superleague , as has kear and morgan is available .
why cant cas attract a coach with a decent C.V. ............................ maybe the way the club is being run is not upto the standards these people set themselves

Agreed, as I've said on the Adrian Lam thread Millward looks the best-fit for our situation. His detractor's seem overly hung up about his media views/comments or his brief spell at Wigan where it was never going to end well for him - and it probably wouldn't have done for Noble but for the cap-busting Dobson/Fielden signings.

Whenever I've watched Leigh this season they've looked as well coached as any NL team I've ever seen and his record at Saints (where he always appeared willing to blood youngsters) speaks for itself.

In the final analysis how bothered are we or can afford to be, about his likeability.

Spot on. The fact that Millward is the 4th/5h choice and we are going with him worries me. If the likes of Noble, Gentle, Lam, Morgan hadn't applied I could understand it. However it is obvious that NRL assistant coaches and unemployed SL coaches are obviously getting told something by the BoD that is putting them off. This is the worrying factor for me. And to be honest I'm sick of the club selling the fans short. If Millward is announced tomorrow then my season ticket application will be ripped up.

I'd rather have Andy Hay or John Kear than Millward. At least these two are both Cas lads and I would say that there isn't much between them. And at least Hay is an up and coming coach rather than a 'has been'.
