As a former soldier this kind of news always strikes a chord with me........these lads are not paid no-where near enough for the job they do and the defence funding is laughable.......10 chinooks for 1100 british soldiers.......100 american chinooks for 250 yank soldiers...more travel by air...less attack of IED.

Very sad news indeed.
May I remind everybody that there's a 'Help For Heroes' R.L. Legends v Army match on Saturday 25th July at the Jungle (rlLINKrl), giving us a chance to show support for our servicemen and women and contribute to this charity that provides some of the help and support they need.

So very sad, losing James, who put his life on the line, fighting so that others may enjoy the freedom we all take very much for granted in this country.
It puts rugby very much into perspective, deep condolences to his family and friends.
