| Tigers changed it to give more space before the Hudds game.

| Nah, Friday night games always bring bigger crowds then Saturday plus with Friday there's the extra rest period. Last year we played hudds away and Leeds at home. Lost 29 28 to hudds then totally ran out of gas against Leeds after being 14-12 up. I think its Daryl's way of doing everything possible to get prep right and make sure his squads right. Don't blame him one bit. Totally understand the fans frustration and whilst I can now attend the Wigan game I'm snookered for the Salford one :\

| Really pee'd off about this. I always look forward to the Cas away fixture every season, but I don't fancy the Friday teatime dash over the M62, then freezing my nads off stood in the open & dark behind the sticks. This will cost Cas in gate money, Wigan always bring a good crowd, but perhaps not on a Friday night in winter

| Only the same for us, we have to trapes over the m62 to play you lot on a Friday night. We are doing it to give us the best possible chance of winning both games. The 4 day turnaround is not ideal at all and cost us last year.

Understandable and I don't blame you as it's not a fun time to be travelling the M62 at that time.

| No word on this date change from Wigan yet. It was announced on your site last Tuesday. I bought tickets from Wigan on Wednesday and there was no mention of it. The tickets say Sunday quite clearly. The rumour is that Cas were a bit previous announcing it as Wigan hadn't agreed.
Does anyone know any different?

Don't worry, I'll be there, I couldn't tell you the last time I missed Cas away, but van de Velde was coach! I'd just prefer a warm May Sunday afternoon for my trips to West Yorkshire.

| I think its tough if you agree or not. We've had to move a Sunday game 2 week later to Friday night to benefit Salford who requested the change. Crowd will be down 2000 but nothing we can do. As far as I'm aware that's the same for Wigan. What's the big issue for Wigan anyway? You play the vast majority of your games on a Friday night? Moaning about the m62 is pretty lame as that's the same trip all away fans have to make for Wigan....

You seem to be adopting a blasé attitude to attendance at this game.
Wigan are (along with Leeds) one of the best supported teams in Super League. I would have thought that the Wakey, Leeds and Wigan games would be your biggest attendances historically. If the crowd at one of your biggest games of the season is 2,000 down on last year when it was played on a Sunday you stand to lose approx. £30,000 taking into account concessions (though Maths isn't my strong point). Good to know that Cas don't need to care about that sort of money.
Sunday games at Wigan tend to be worse for attendance than Friday night games, and I'm not sure that the size of your (usual) away support would warrant any change in kick off times to accommodate you, though a cup match would be different.
Anyway Friday or Sunday I'll be there, and your poor start to the season notwithstanding (I'm expecting Saints to beat you on Friday), I expect a tough and close game.
