Did anyone else notice in the warm up when Owen was kicking high balls to Tansey? It was fairly obvious that Rich was not in the mood to be helping the guy that was keeping him out of the side. Every ball was kicked as high as he could kick them, several landed in the stand and a couple were nearer to Shenny and Dixon.

I like tansey but he could have cost us the game when he left those high balls from Tompkins, I think he left 3!! If that would have been Owen u lot would be saying he's get rid, but yet nothing...

So I say Owen you put snow on them for him!!

Owen is not a bad player, just low on confidence, give the guy a break!!!

as long as we can call him back whenever it will do him good. as said, until 1 or 2 of our backline gets knocks he probably wont get a start.

Their is always a lot of big wages sat in the stand, you can only pick 17 players on a match day, when he gets the call up he will have to take his chance, his first problem will being able to block all the boos from the Cas coaches, in the stands.

Having Owen as second choice tells you how much better our strength in depth is this year.

Would you all rather have Tansey at fullback than Owen, he certainly looks promising this year like when he was at Leeds, causes some damage.

Tansey over Owen any day at Fullback for me. Owen might do a job in the centres - he as never looked like a fullback. I'm certain there is a place for him though at Cas Tigers.

I saw O'Loughlin taking the wigan pack through some quality drills, and to be fair Cas did a few new drills which look good (without getting too technical)

but watching our full-back trying to warm up, and every ball was bouncing off the advertising hoardings, it looked ridiculous. Fine put high balls up, thats the idea, but I think he only had the opportunity to catch two out of about half a dozen.

At first I thought he was trying to judge the length, til I realised it was a very surly looking Owen that was getting them up.

I have a lot of time for the kid, he's come through our own youth scheme and he deserves every chance he gets.

But ultimately, this kid has lost his place through bad form. (some would say he's more bothered about beating up Santa - valid argument)

He can either take it like a pro and try to win back his place through hard graft, or he can sulk and belt the ball into the stands from the warm up.

We have made so much this year on the squad "working for each other" ....this is exactly the kind of negativity the club DON'T need.

I can't see how a 1/2 month loan at Salford would do him any harm, if we have the option to recall him if injuries hit us
