Wakefield did not even have to try today and it looked as if the players ( most ) just did not care about the game today. I bet the kits of the Wakefield players are barely smelling of sweat.

This has to be the lowest point I can remember as a Cas fan, even counting the two relegations. We were completely outplayed and done over by a team (no disrespect to Wakey intended) in the bottom half of the table. There was no passion in the shirt, and players looked like they were just preparing for the end of the season or retirement.

Millward can not motivate the players, and if they can't try hard in a local derby game then something is seriously wrong with them. I didn't want Millward when he got the job, and nothing I have seen since he joined the club, has persuaded me that I was wrong. Until Millward is either sacked or he walks away, I will not be setting foot in the ground again. There is absolutely nothing worth going to watch and his style (or lack of style) of rugby is turning fans away from the club. I hope he goes sooner rather than later!

Youngquest was gutted there was 7minutes left making us Wakey fans laugh he even shouted it out to us didn't want to be there. Never seen cas play with so little passion I was very shocked.

"I'm sorry, but I would hope that we would beat Cas with a 1 day turnaround." An arrogant Wigan fan a few days before we stuffed them 18-4 at the JJB.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_42181.jpg

It will be interesting how many fans turn up for the Larndon game this Sunday. Patience has been severly tested here.

Especially as they are expecting people to bring a friend for free. I don't have any mates that I dislike that much to take!

It is bad, but it is far from my lowest point, but it feels the worst becuase we are in it right now.

Yeah, bring a friend for free doesn't seem rich reward does it? I am looking forward to seeing Craig Gower actually, I always liked his style from afar, cannot get to the end of this season fast enough to be honest.

I do think there are dangerous times ahead for Cas Tigers, becuase if, and I mean IF the mood of all supporters is reflected in the views on here, then it could very well descend into a sea of destructive negativity where people's own prophecies of doom prove right because they make them so.
For instance the German economy is at a better stage of recovery and is subtly stronger BECUASE most of the German people and business believes that things improve and it is just a matter of time - they believe it will get better so it does, faster. There is evidence to support this.

Maybe it is my age, maybe it is the fact that I have succeeded and failed a few times in my life and understand that there is little between the two - but genuinely, as we have seen with Nick Youngquest to an extent, you have to be careful what you wish for. I completely believe but for the constant cart load of abuse he has endured that his decision to retire was not made; he is far too polite and professional to leave the club saying "fluff you" - but who could blame him and irony of inrony, he is being lauded as one of the best overseas players we have and is now playing like it.

Is it is coincidence? I think I know the answer. Give a dog a bad name - But thats my view of course, everyone pays their money, but if you are a sack everyone, it's all crap and you don't know what you're doing merchnat - then think your logic forward when that has happened, we sack Basil for instance and have to settle his contract and so on - consider the pay off for the changes you are demanding. Every action has a reaction.

I really have no idea how Cas are going to sell us a season ticket for next year!

To be honest I couldn't get myself up for this game (just a pointless end of season rubber really) so not surprising that the players couldn't. The franchise system (removing the risk of relegation) certainly doesn't help and with so many of the team leaving at the end of the season I bet that they just can't wait for it to end!

I'll be surprised if we can get 4000 for the London game. It could be one of our lowest crowds for ages! I doubt that the Catalan game will be much better, despite it being our last game. I usually feel a good emotional tie to the team at the end of a season, but that's just not there this year.

In the 15 or so years I've watched Cas this is the lowest point for me (even lower than our relegation seasons).

For the past 10 years with the odd exception Wakey have been turning up at WR and handed you your backsides on a plate. It's to be hoped we never actually win by playing well or we will put a 100 past you icon_wink.gif

Seriously we did play well as we usually do against you.

FWIW the big difference was fitness. We looked a fit well drilled Pro RL team. We looked bigger, stronger, fitter and faster. You looked like a lardy pub team and from your perspective that is unforgivable. Fitness is the one thing a club can control unlike team moral, skill levels and team play which are hugely variable. You need to sort it out because being Classy Cas for 20 minutes won't beat anybody these days.

Yup, fully agree. Just sorry we couldn't give you a better game. I was bored to tears and whilst it was obviously more fun for Wakey fans, it wasn't much of a game to be honest. Shame as I was hoping that it might be a good close encounter.

We probably have the smallest team in the league....and yes the fitness wasn't there either, a fair few were walking after 15 minutes.

The big laugh is that Millward said he would improve the defence and fitness icon_mad.gif

We concede at least 40 just about every week so I'm beyond embarrassment and looking at the balance/quality of the respective line-ups I expected pretty much what we got.....although the margin actually flattered us. But make no mistake Wakey are a good side getting better and it would be wrong to attribute the scoreline solely to our failings when they've done a similar job on the champions less than a week before.

For me the performances of each side were reflective, and the result, of differing club mentalities. Wakey have brought players in to invigorate, and probably extend, their season while we have let players go to end ours prematurely.

We played okay-ish up to the point of their first (foot short) try... then the heads went down. What disappointed me most was the way they utterly failed to come out in the second half. I was at least expecting a bit of a fightback with them playing towards the WRE but there was nothing, absolutely nothing, until the game was gone and Wakey switched off.

Even so, lowest point? Nah. Have we forgotten the loss at Fev? The drubbing at Caravan Park? We didn't ship 70 yesterday and we didn't lose to a Championship side. We simply didn't bother performing at the end of a non-event season and lost a game as a result. It's nothing new this year is it?
