| Saw a few beer bottles been thrown at Cas players by Wakey supporters which is absolutely disgusting and the fans should be banned for life, just because they lost and were completely outplayed doesn't signal a beer riot!!!!
Great win btw, 1 to 17 stood up tonight, fantastic!!!

I saw plenty of idiots from both sides throwing bottles, so don't go claiming to be text book, well behaved fans.

| I agree, there was a Wakey numpty gobbing off at Griffin also at the end game trying to offer him out. Pathetic and disgraceful, but credit to Griffin who didn't rise to the provocation.

Is there any truth in the growing number of reports a large number of Fev fans were there to cause bother?
On another note related to the match, how daft can people be? Chase was apparently hit by a bottle? Stuff being thrown at the touch judge by a Wakey fan (per the Wakey board).
Terrible night by the sounds of it.

| It looked to me as though the dozen or so fans that got escorted out by police were all Wakey fans. All grown men too.

Are you honestly saying that Fev fans would organise to go to a game, half of them buy Cas shirts, the other half buy Wakey shirts and then fight with each other to make both clubs look bad? I was at the game, I am a Featherstone fan, was I there to cause trouble? No. I was hoping to watch a decent game of rugby league from the apparent pinnacle of the sport but spent the majority of the second half being bundled out of the way by police and stewards trying to get to where the idiots were and dodging bottles that were filled with god knows what. Think you should look at the clubs that were involved before making wild accusations.

No I'm not, I was just asking if there was any truth in the rumours that a large number of people in none club specific clothing from Featherstone turned up with the sole intention to cause bother, no accusations...learn the correct terms for things.
As it turns out, that may have not been the case but if the RFL show consistency for once Wakefield will be 20 grand lighter after tonight.

Well said. I think both Cas and Wakey fans need to have a long hard look at themselves before they go spouting ridiculous accusations like "it was all Fev fans".
I even said to my lad "I bet when we get home, some numpty has gone on the internet and blames Fev for this"

Well the RFL told Cas it's the responsibility of the home team to keep the crowd in check which means if they're going to be consistent, Wakefield are going to be fined.

| From what I saw, it was 6 and two 3s, although admittedly, the only projectiles that I saw head for the pitch appeared to come from Wakey "fans".
You have to question the sanity of scheduling the fixture on the evening of Good Friday, when plenty of morons (from both sides) will have been on the razz all day.
IMHO, it was bound to end in some sort of disturbance.
I also question whether alcohol should be sold in and around any stadium, sober people tend not to act like complete tools (although I accept that there are always exceptions)

Shall we offer our congratulations to the Wakey board for exaggerating an already tense derby atmosphere by attempting to create a segregation within the crowd with their statement earlier in the week??
Thankfully the level headed supporters of both teams went to the game with the intention of enjoying the game, and did exactly that. Unfortunately a few idiots decided to try their best to spoil the day also!

I think you are right, most if not all were plain clothed and wore no colours. But from what I saw, the fans that did get chucked out were plucked from the Wakey side of the line. Plus the fact many of them were hissing and spitting at the Cas fans as they were being dragged out.

I understand what you are saying, however bank holiday derby games have been going on since the year dot. This one wasn't a one off brain wave. IMO the Wakey crowd segregation statement from earlier in the week poured extra fuel on the fire!
