| Today was the first time i've had chance to see Cas play for a while apart from Sky and i wish i hadn't have wasted my money. Absolutely disgusting performance with no heart and gameplan at all. Forwards stood flat all game and wingers might aswell have stood in the middle of the pitch for the whole game.
I can definately see us finishing bottom this year. 1 step forward and 5 steps back.

| I agree, don't log in often but feel I need to we were a joke today and I appreciate Wigan are a good side, but I cannot remember a performance with so little heart, from the start of the game we could not care less, no heart, no passion, we are never going to get near a team like Wigan without this, disgusted with today's effort, I don't mind us losing when we try, but we certainly didn't today, big issues down the lane

| I've never seen a team go into a ruck so slowly. It was like we were watching a slow motion replay.
Wigan were good in defence today but in attack were no better than we can be when we're at our best.

| Never mind though we have a nice easy fixture against Leeds on friday night on SKY to get back on track with.
Ill almost feel sorry for the Rhinos when they suffer our wrath!

| Started as expected this year. Weve had a tough start unlike last year. Lets just hope when we are finally back to full strength we can start winning. Tough year this year but I didnt expect much more with the world class signings we made :/ we can rely on our great young lads but they wont be superleague class for another 2 year. (if we keep them)

| Before kick off thought it would go one of two ways due to the raw emotion around the club this week. If we got off to a good start then I thought we would make a game of it but a slow start and it would be a big loss.
Unfortunately it was the latter and Wigan didn't really have to break sweat to get the win. I know we are a lot better than what was on show and hopefully we can bounce back with a performance against Leeds

| Don't understand the knee-jerk reactions and accusations of lacking in effort.
We were well beaten by a much better side.
At times Wigan looked class and had we lacked for application then the score could have easily doubled.
For the most part, we succeeded in a damage limitation exercise.
Like most sides we'll come up against, our opponents simply looked a physically more imposing outfit and they did everything much faster than we could.
We lacked any impetus from the pack and our three-quarters were absolutely woeful.
With all our injured players back and a few wiser selections (Walker/Thompson) we might get a better picture regarding where we're likely to finish.

| Simply not good enough basil will be gutted with the lack of effort from the players who should have gave it there all today.

Thing is we want the club to compete, not just hope for damage limitation....if we have to watch more games like that some fans just won't bother going....as for the injuries all clubs have them.

I think that stems from the fact that we stood still when we allowed Tomkins to pick up a loose-ball, run horizontally before arcing round and pass to Richards to finish in the corner without even attempting to lay a finger on him. It was shambolic.

.....or Wigan gave up half-way through?

46042.jpg [quote="Bonzo":23qz4bj5]Corrected.
Incidentally, an exclamation mark ends a sentence and does not require a full stop. The first letter of the next word begins a new sentence and should therefore be capitalised. [i:23qz4bj5]Who needs flankers[/i:23qz4bj5]' grammar was actually correct.
HTH.

| Youngquest had what was possibly the worst game I have ever seen from a winger. Absolute shocker! I know he is just back from injury but if that's the best he can do he should stick to modelling underwear! Even Donlan had seen enough on the hour mark.
McGoldrick just looks fat and slow. I think Grehan will be taking his place in the next week or so. At least he showed interest.
Owen was fantastic again. Didn't stop. I bet he made more meters than most of the forwards. Griffin again was solid enough. TBH I didn't expect anything more from today. 3 first choice front rowers out means you will never beat the top teams. Ask Wakefield... Oh no wait they only have one out and were spanked by Bradford

| Wigan never really got out of second gear. They were good but not great. They got the basics spot-on, something which seemed to elude us for the entire game. Our performance was very poor. We simply didn't stand up to them and our defence was terrible for the most part.
For me there were two players came out of the game with some credibility - Danny Orr, who worked extremely hard to create chances and motivate the team; and Richard Owen who was superb under the high ball. Other than that I was thoroughly disappointed with the lot of them and they really need to take a long hard look in the mirror. My mate's a Wigan fan and he was disappointed we didn't give them a better game - there was no comeback and that hurt. God help us on Friday.

| I think that the reactions here are a bit harsh really. I didn't see a lack of effort but what I did see was a side that was simply outclassed by much better opposition.
Wigan knew that they had the measure of us and that allowed them to play a relaxed and confident brand of rugby and we were often just chasing shadows. Sure it wasn't our best performance but I don't think that there was much we could have done against them today personally.
They are a much stronger, faster and more skillful side and sometimes in sport you just have to hold your hands up, say well done to the opposition and look towards how we can improve. Sadly, until we get a stadium, bigger crowds and more money we will never really be able to compete with the top sides.
We did have quite a few players out today who would have normally played and we certainly missed Arundel who has been good for us the past few weeks.

Did you see the performance against Catalans last week? I'd swear that was a different team out there today (and against Bradford) if I didn't know better.
