Fudged, but what can you do - anyone who saw the incident knows that McGoldrick should have been sitting out the next game or 2, but someone at Redhall appears to have a soft spot for his particular brand of thuggery.

I think what may have gone in mcgoldricks favour is that in the challenge cup semi Ryan was dumped to the floor in similar fashion but from a higher height by one of the leeds players and the findings of the RFL were for a caution to be issued so maybe they decided that it would be difficult to punish Ryan for the same offence when he had been on the receiving end of the same tackle 2 weeks previous. Not sure but just maybe it had a bearing on the decision

Whilst I think his tackle was stupid, I do think the RFL have probably made the correct decision. It was silly but nothing more.

There are tackles every week that could break someone's neck. I don't think the intent was him for his to land on his head, rather his belly.

But of course, you're going to see it differently. As for what he brings to SL, well, I don't expect Wakey fans to look out for the good stuff.
