Semis of the cup and 6th in SL , surely even RFL can't get rid of us now

I think we've been okay for a while, but it would certainly be a PR mess for the RFL if the unthinkable did happen

You'd like to think so but we will have to wait til tuesday to see. Imagine the uproar and headlines if we got chucked out in our current position.

TBH don't care who we get in semis , but you can bet that the other 3 teams all want to draw Cas

In 1995 Featherstone reached the cup semi, not sure our exact league position but we were nowhere near bottom yet they still kicked us out

Was decision made before you got to semis do you remember , or did you get to semis knowing you were already out

Cant remember really i do know at the time i thought if we had won the cup it would show the RFL clowns up for what they are

Why are Sky coming to your place next week - do they REALLY think you wont get a franchise?

I suppose they will be at the grounds of the teams that they perceive as being in the running for the chop

And since wakie are not even opening their bars I suppose only place for them to go!!!

So, just how important (in financial terms) was THAT extra-time goal-kick of Dixon's in the Cup win at Wakefield ?

I struggle to see Cas being axed. I can't really imagine what Wakey can claim to bring to the party that you lot don't. Cas has always been one of my favourite away days, and of all the alleged candidates for the chop you're by far the ones I'd miss most.

The RFL are known to make the odd nonsese decision, but surely Cas can't be seriously in the running to not get a franchise?

It's rotten what they've done to you lot!
Cas have always been safe, the rest is b/s!
Wakey were doomed weeks after the last licence round when they were given the place on the back of the Thornes Park project.
When that went bellly up only weeks after the award of the licences Wakey were gonners from that moment on.
Their management over the last three years appear to have helped their demise.
The people I feel sorry for are the remaining Wakey fans who have stuck with their team. Their new owner deserves a lot of praise too.
Cas will be in there.

the only real problem that we face is the fact that we have have been in a superleague club since it started 1996-(all but 2 seasons) , all this time we knew we needed to update our stadium or get a new one ..........now in 2011 we have made little progress and there is no guarantee this will be resolved soon.
I feel that cas will have to make some promises to the rfl and that a time frame will be put in place that must be adhered with regards to the clubs playing facilities.
