So it is rumoured that we are losing them to Salford and Huddersfield respectively but why would they want to go to those teams when all is looking good here at Cas ? I am not at all putting down Huddersfield or Salford but it would be strange if they did go.

If rumours are to be believed its because they are chasing 5 year deals.

Its understandable they are after job security, I can also understand the clubs reluctance (if true) to offer so long a deal, we have had our fingers burnt over long deals before (McGoldrick and Hudson spring to mind).

Weller to Salford and Huby to Hudds in 5 year deals. Tigers offered Huby a 3 year deal but he turned it down. They will both be replaced by better players.

As for the rumours we are getting Luke Robinson & Scott Moore (sent off Sat) nooo thank you!

I understand the coaching team are doing a fantastic job with this seasons squad but some of the alleged signings for next year smacks of some we made after 1999, Darren Shaw, Adrian Purcell, Logan Cambell etc. Rather than kicking on we stood still and gradually went backwards.

I know I shouldn't be worrying about next season yet but we have in the past got to this stage before.

Big mistake for me if we let Huby go after the service he's given us. One of the most under rated forwards out there. We need to stop losing our best players to these teams if we are aiming to be successful. We did well regarding Carney, let's give Huby the deal he wants. No one deserves it more.

We might be a bit late we seem to be back to humming & are'ing with contract, I was told last Wednesday that they had singed for other clubs, I hope it's all rubbish, but i wont be holding my breath

Huby has stood by the club through thick, thin, and anorexic. If any player deserves a long deal by the board it is him, will be really miffed if he goes. See the Cas "B" Team (Hull) are sniffing round as well

In what way? Players like Huby lay the foundations for those others to succeed. Without it they would not be the same.

Huby is a massively under rated player, and has been for last six or seven years.
