| I was talking to one of the Directors from Hull K R today and he told me they are trying to sign Kirk Dixon to replace Jake Webster, thoughts anyone. I for one would be sad to see him go he adds a lot to the team and is the best we have under the high ball.

| It wouldn't be a surprise at all. I heard only recently he was contemplating leaving the game alltogether due to illness and injury.

| As a person I really like Kirk, he's a proper decent guy. However as a player, he's struggles for pace he is injury prone and is nothing like the 'cross field high ball poacher' that he was a few years ago. So if the opportunity comes, then yes I'd let him go!.

| Thanks for the service Kirk but if that was to come to an end I wouldn't be sad. I think he'd be "the square peg in a round hole" of our three-quarter line next year which, on paper, has bags of pace which is something KD sadly lacks. Use his wages to sign Rhys Williams???

| Was worth a place in the team as his goalkicking was strong. He won us a few matches with the last kick, most notably in the cup at Wakefield in 2011 which led to our games against Huddersfield and semi against Leeds, bringing in a substantialm amount of cash.
However, with Jamie Ellis a seemingly better kicker Dixon may fall behind Owen and Carney on the wing and definately Shenton and Webster in the centre.

| Good finisher but too slow to be a winger, positioning & passing are abysmal so not suited to centre either.

| I am sure some people watch a different game to me. I'd go in to bat with Dicko all day and all night.
You have got to watch him in bad ball as well, quality team man..... Granted limited, but there are more with more limits than Dicko............
I'd pick him every week at the momnt, even given who we have signed - Amuses me that people are already picking Webster or Carney in front of him every week - Last time I checked they werent Gasnier and Williams?
Shame if his body lets him down though, but I think post op considering how damaged he was last season, we will see him from 18 months ago again.

And Kirk Dixon isn't Josh Morris or Greg Inglis

| great servant to the club and would be sad to see him leave - plus we need numbers in the squad with SL experience.
Even with injury problems we need some backs in the squad, don't forget we have just loaned out james clare and ben johnseon (Ben was down London for the challenge cup and seems a great kid - really level headed and an ultimate pro in the making)

There replacement for Webster was Sean Gleeson. with Sam Latus on the new signings of Omari Caro & Alex Brown for the winger to replace Craig Hall moving to fullback.

Kirk Dixon is one of Castleford's most reliable players good under high bomb but he is a better winger then centre. he as a great kick return and always gives 100% every time he pulls on the black & amber jersey. I think he will get a lot better with Shenton back on his inside of him, Back in 2009 they both got 19 tries each and i think that is one of the best winger/centre partnership that cas have had in the super league era. probably only Rogers & Eagar partnership was better.

| I always liked Leon Pryce as a winger. Although the game has kinda left hime behind really. But Darren Rogers wouldn't have been half as (semi) prolific as he was if it wasn't for Eagar on his inside
