I can't fault the players' effort from 1 to 17, we deserved something out of the game.

Anyone think Ryan McGoldrick was superb today (apart from his pass that led to the interception) and that his kicking game was fantastic

I thought they were well drilled and played with great passion

Goldy and Milner marched us up the field very well. For me if Orr retires at the end of this season we have a replacement in Milner

That performance would of put 60 on Fev

absolutely fantastic effort milner is great at 7 and looks a natural there, thought McGoldrick looked like his old self without Chase taking the limelight

I was very pleased with the enthusiasm and effort from the lads today. No one let themselves or the team down and this weekend has been good preparation for fev next week. My only criticism was why we spurned so many simple pens in from of the sticks. I counted 6 bang in front that we didn't go for goal from, only scoring a try from one of them. I dont normally say take the two, but no recognised half back playing we should have taken them. Oh well!

10 out of 10 for effort, everybody should be proud of themselves, especially the youngsters. Thought Dicko played well at full back, and Milner was top drawer. Walker had another outstanding game as well.

Thought we were standing a bit flat in attack at the end and were so close to pulling it level. Oh well, enjoyed the game and came away from the ground feeling good.

BTW what was everyone's opinion on the first Saints try in the corner. Try or in touch ?

Credit due to IM as well for once again getting everything possible from his available resources. I was a big fan of TM but under his management we copped 2 or 3 massive home defeats from Saints when fielding injury hit sides.

In general a very good and solid performance. The effort was fantastic!!

Walker is getting better with each game that passes. Ferris had a cracking game, as did Milner and Olli Holmes. Dicko played well, but at times does look a bit slow off the mark. Big Jake E played well, as did Stuart Jones. Mitchel got stuck in well.

On the negatives, I thought John Davies was seriously unfit. Goldy tackled quite well, but put out dozens of no hope hospital passes and his kicks into the in goal area could have been much better.

Overall I expected us to get a whallopping, but we put in a very credible performance that the boys can be proud of.

Thoroughly enjoyed the game!

I thought we were a bit poor to be honest. The effort was well below par and not up to the standard we come to expect. We seemed a bit lethargic, as if the weather had got to us and we couldn't be bothered. We need to up our game next week and totally change it around, the effort needs to be lifted 100 percent.

That's my thoughts on the fans out of the way. As for the players, it was a cracking effort. Just a few too many dropped balls in the slippery conditions cost us in the end. Saints defence on the line proved just enough to hold us out. I think pretty much every player for Cas had a good game. Personally though again I think big Johnny Walker was my MOM. The lad has potential to become a cracking SL forward.
