| Seeing Wakey have got their go ahead for a state of the art stadium (whereas Cas have just a pipe dream) when will Mr Ferris announce a ground sharing arrangement with your big city rivals?

| No, they haven't. They've got outline Planning and still have to get Reserved Matters sorted and submitted.
There is also the issue of funding and how long that will take them to get and how long it will take for the warehousing development to be sold etc.
Our pipe dream has full planning permission but we're having to wait with what is happening with Wheldon Rd before we can press ahead, which is firmly outside of our control.
So my answer to your question is never because our secondary option is to redevelop Wheldon Rd.

Perhaps you should re-read rather than skating over the post with the same trolling disdain you h ad in your first attempt?
Nowhere did I state that Wakefield wouldn't get a new ground; I was merely pointing out that contrary to the OP's post that "Wakefield had got their stadium", there is a lot of work to be done and lots of things to resolve before building work can even begin. Then there's also the possibility of a High Court challenge, judging by the information sent out in the letter posted on your own forum.
Rather than looking for a reason to slag people off you should just be pleased you've got over the first major milestone of obtaining the necessary planning permission and keep your powder dry. Unexpected delays can be thrown up and these sorts of development, especially when you're reliant on other sources of funding in this climate, rarely go smoothly. And that's talking from experience with Cas. RE: Kinley, ditto this post.

| Not peed off at all.
There are people on Wakey side that have worked damned hard to get to this stage and it's paid off for them so I'm happy for them.
As for the "Cas are not", nowhere has it been said that GH is done and dusted. SF is developing a plan B for WR, which the media have ran with and put a massive spin on to suggest that will be our priority now, which isn't the case.
Similarly, from what I've read on the Casforum, some people have misunderstood what was said on the evening at the Civic Centre.
SF said we have to wait and see what happens with the supermarket before we can realistically move on and decide which route to go down. That news could come tomorrow or in one year. He said we cannot stand still on that front and we have to look at a Plan B in case things aren't favourable for Cas, financially or news-wise.

| The key phrase in Fully's post is Media spin.
In this digital age of immediate soundbites and constant access to news via the internet too many people don't look beyond the headlines.
I remember when the alternative funding plan surrounding the sale of the Cas ground was first announced, the BBC sport site was resplendant with an article trumpetting the news that Cas were set to get a £50m investment by selling Wheldon Road to a Food retailer.
Reading the headline only you would forgiven for thinking that we were about to be handed £50m in exchange for our ground. It was only on reading further down the article did it become clear that there were plenty of obstacles to overcome before any money changed hands and that under no circumstances would we actually get anywhere near £50m if the ground was sold!
The same thing is the case with our respective grounds now. In the same way that the sale of Wheldon Rd is NOT dead in the water, the building of Wakey's new ground is not yet inevitable.

The amount of time you've tried to shoot down posters over the years for pointing the obvious flaws in the Glasshoughton project is uncountable. Now here you are on the other side of the fence highlighting every possible negative of Newmarket in the same way! Do you not see the Irony? I'd also question what "experience" you had with Glasshoughton, other than to be Dickie Wrights Internet Forum Minister of propaganda! Your opinions are not based any kind of objective reasoning (like you seem to think) but a blind bias to any thing Black n Amber! Don't knock other posters for what do yourself so passionately!

| No, I've shot down posters for being factually incorrect. There's a difference.

| Mischief making on the thread headline i think!.
Congrats to those who worked hard on Wakefields application.
Its a pity the thread will turn into petty mud slinging by people who claim or think they are intelligent.
P.s good luck to Bazzo buying all that beer...if you go back on your promise you are no better than most politicians

| the problem with the Newmarket scheme is not the ground what might get built, its the massive amount of green belt land what will be lost, but what dose it matter, the waky fans are over the moon, all they have to do know is get full planning, what cost Cas a load of money, and wait for all the grass to be concreted over & sold, then will Mr, Glover be paying for the architects drawings, and the planing or will some one ells
