HAS IT STANDS I THINK WE HAVE 2 OPTIONS WE EITHER STAY AS WE ARE AND GO DOWN A DIVISION OR WE MERGE WITH THE WILDCATS TO CREATE A SUPERLEAGUE TEAM WHO HAVE THE FANS, STADIUM AND PLAYERS TO MIX IT WITH THE TOP 4 CLUBS. I KNOW WHAT I WOULD DO BUT WHAT DO THE REST OF THE TIGERS SUPPORTERS WANT.WOULD NOT SUPRISE ME IF THIS IS THE REASON WHY MR FERRIS WALKED ?

I believe in the long run I probably would watch a merged team, but my heart says, go away and merge someone else, we bring too much to the table most of the time!

| Why would we want to merge with anyone , Superleague aint the be all and end all of Rugby League.
THe Superleague is all about one thing and thats money , not the fans or the clubs ,just plain and simple money , the more you have got (via big backers etc )the more Superleague will look after you
Wakey for instance are getting their act together (and fair play to them)but they dont need us and with respect we dont need Wakey or anyone else for that matter.
If the choice came i would sooner watch my club play in the championship or wherever as long as they were the Castleford Tigers and im damn sure most fans from other clubs would say the same ,Mergers do not work Ie Huddersfield/Sheffield (sheffield lost out ) ,Hull /Gateshead (Gateshead lost out)

why would Wakefield want to merge with us.
Might as well have a Featherstone, Castleford and Wakefield merger, Calling ourselves Calder Wildcats & Tiger Rovers.

Some interesting comments. If you were to keep your identity and came into the championship only the die hard fans would stay watching the club as with all clubs in this league. I'm a big believer that there will be a big shake up next year and in 2015 S/L will smaller do you Cas fans not think this will happen ?
