I quite like Mathers the player, it's just Mathers the person who comes across as a bit of a tool. I'd still prefer Tongia though, but Mathers is certianly an improvement on Blaymire.

Mathers, therefore, won't be starting FB and would go against what he joined us from Wire for. With Thompson and Goldy also capable of dropping back and no doubt a youngster in the reserves too, we could probably cover that position.

Really fooked off if this is true as a) think he could still do a job for us and b) if we are as skint as people say then why offer to pay half of his wage!
