| In general, a game where one pack dominates another, usually lay the platform for their team to win the game.
Is our pack big and strong enough to dominate the oppositions ?
1st Choice Pack
----------------
8 Mitch Sargent
9 Ryan Hudson
10 Craig Huby
11 Brett Ferres
12 Steve Snitch
13 Joe Westerman
2nd Choice Pack
----------------
Paul Jackson
Kirk Netherton
Liam Higgins
Stuart Jones
Dean Widders
Ryan Clayton
We have effectively two packs and as the season progresses, it should be a matter of the form players getting the jerseys. What's noticeable is that in either pack, there is only one Aussie. The rest is made up of English players. This is a season where TM has to work on the spirit. With a year of stability, the majority of this lot know each other. He has to have them working as a unit, showing aggression, mental strength and visible back slapping when things are going either well, or badly.

Would have jones over ferris, jones contrbutes more to our defence than any other player.

| I'd have Jones on the bench coming on for Hudson.

| There's some good players there, especially in the back row. The back row looks very dynamic. Think we are missing a prop with some size about him tho.

46042.jpg [quote="Bonzo":23qz4bj5]Corrected.
Incidentally, an exclamation mark ends a sentence and does not require a full stop. The first letter of the next word begins a new sentence and should therefore be capitalised. [i:23qz4bj5]Who needs flankers[/i:23qz4bj5]' grammar was actually correct.
HTH.

Na, Widders is a centre!

| Quote: Riggins "I'd have Jones on the bench coming on for Hudson.'"
I think Jones is one of the hardest workers on the pitch, especially defensively and so would suit that role quite well. Unfortunately I don't think his distribution from acting half is good enough so I would keep Netherton on bench and rotate.
With the signing of Snitch I reckon Jones will be more of a squad player this year. It's a shame for him that he won't be playing week in week out, but I think when the inevitable injuries hit, he will prove to be invaluable.
Same story for Higgins. He puts in a lot of work and I really like him. I reckon Jackson is probably a bit more imposing going forward and so will get more first team action.
I do think our pack is stronger this year and our two signings could be really astute, especially considering who we have in reserve.

| Snitch on the bench because he can play prop and second row, Jones & Ferres in the second row, that means Snitch can be used tactically in 2 positions, meaning in theory the team could carry one less prop on game day and have a bench consisting of something like

| I still think that leaves us missing a decent replacement hooker if Hudson goes off. McGoldricks passing is woeful, so he can't go there.
Maybe Netherton instead of Widders? Ferres can go into centre if need be.
Selection problems! This is fun! There are a number of decent combinations I reckon for our pack. I am feeling mildly optimistic.

Jones to hooker with Snitch or Widders on for Hudson I'd go for.

| Jones is a better player than Snitch. If it was a choice he would always be my first choice of the two.

Snitch is something of unknown quantity to me at the moment as I've never really taken much notice of him so we'll see how he pans out. Jones is an unsung hero with an astonishing work rate, which unfortunately goes unnoticed by many.

I started watching snitch after the wakey fans were raving about him last year, and they were right he was a very good forward, he knows where the try line is and makes good yards.
Jones i rate very highly, his work rate is amazing.
I rate them both highly, but for me they are differant types of player.

| Jones is a defensive player, a real tackling machine. Snithch is more of an attacking player if you can get him through gaps in the middle of the field he will set up scoring opportunities. problem is Snitch has a tendency to make mistakes usually drops the ball a couple of times again. jones rarely makes a mistake .
Both were good players for us but i felt that Jones was a more steady and reliable player.
