| Did anyone else hear Radio Leeds this morning, it was suggested that Millward is in talks with Keith Senior?

| Might just bear that, with gritted teeth, if he took McGoldrick's centre spot but the way team selection's going so far it would be Arundel who got dropped.

| I remember when the topic of Senior came up on the forum a number of months ago, and there was very little love in the air for the guy. However, all said and done....and depending upon the outcome of his return from surgery.....could he do a job for us?

| I'm still against Senior ever pulling a Cas shirt on. We are complaining on other threads about letting young potential go to other clubs and watching them play out of thier skin. It's time for another "young un" to be given a chance otherwise we will end up with a mass exodus.

My thoughts exactly......I don't have to like the guy and I won't be putting his name on the back of my shirt.........but if he gets out there and starts to help us get results, that's good enough for me.

It's early days yet, and I don't want to discourage the value of holding on to the potential that we have in our young players. But won't the young ones look for better things if we continue to relish at the bottom of the league.
Thug or not, does he have the potential to guide and support the development of some of our younger players?

| As I see it he was coming to the end of his career and was being off loaded by Leeds for a reason. Not all players recover from bad injuries and play to the same level as they did pre injury so to that degree he is still unproven. We've had Botica and Newlove who were both major disappointments and I just feel Senior would fall into the same category.
The young lads are always in a catch 22 situation, how do they prove that they are good enough if they don't get a run in the first team and how long do they have to wait if we bring in an expensive signing. If we are at the bottom they have an even bigger chance to make that little bit of difference, enthusiasm heart and passion is what one or two of the older brigade are missing at the moment. It's always easier to forgive a young local lad a few mistakes if you can see he is giving his all and he shows improvement over an extended run of games than it is watchinga few of the seasoned guys who seem to have forgot how to tackle. Chuck em in and give em a chance.

| Before his injury he was still a bloody good player and seemingly getting better as he got older. So, if he's 100% fit I'm not going to say no to him in a Cas jersey.

| Senior > McGoldrick
So can't really complain about it because he would improve the team, and this team needs all the help it can get.

If you're saying he would replace McGoldrick I would advise caution as I think one of Goldy's tattoos must say 'bomb' because no booger wants to drop him.

Agree totally. There are enough youngsters with a future ahead of them itching to get a game for Cas.
If Senior plays for Cas I certainly won't applaud him, cheer him or encourage him. I don't want a mercenary, hobbling has-been playing for us, particularly one with his history when it comes to Cas.

| After the seriousness of his injury and subsequent infection you would have to wonder if a guy who turns 36 next month can recover from that. It would be a major risk as with a year out of the game theres a decent chance he would be a liabilty.
