Someone on the other Cas message board has posted that the semi is at the LSV. However unconfirmed, so don't quote me. For me the LSV ticks every box apart from the capacity, as I honestly believe there will be a lot bigger crowd than people think. In 2011 semi final, we took more than a good few, but many Cas fans, did not go, as being Cas fans they don't, if they think we cannot win, which many of them did, on that occasion. This time they all think we either can win or will win, and I can already see the clamour, like the 2007 NL1 Grand Final, when we took almost 10,000. I would think Widnes will bring a good few themselves also.

For me the only two alternatives, soccer permitting, were the DW at Wigan, and Galpharm, Huddersfield, as they would have easily catered for the crowd. Headingley, the HJS and Langtree park would be excellent choices, apart from the fact that they are too near either one of the two competing clubs. The LSV looks excellent on the TV, but with a capacity of only 11,000, I think it will be severaly tested. I honestly think we could well be taking 8,000. Could lose some revenue here, if the info is correct.

Incidentally what is the capacity at Spotland, Rochdale's ground? No one ever mentions that for venues, but when I went last time, it looked an excellent ground with good facilities.

I personally don't think it'd be too much of an issue. Season ticket holders will be given priority on the tickets and that's a just reward for putting faith in the team, especially with such low expectations at the beginning of the year.

I'd also prefer the ground to be full and rocking on the TV than half empty. It would be great if everyone could go, but given we're looking to reduce our own capacity if we move to the Glasshoughton development, hopefully the scarcity of the product encourages the undecided that they should put their faith (and money) into the club in the future.

Its a tough one is this, we all thought the Keepmount was too small in 2011 and it wasn't sold out.

You also have to factor in the school holidays, some supporters will be away. If the L.S.V ticket allocation is split 50/50 then it will be near capacity.

But if the R.F.L & Leigh get an allocation of tickets as well then the venue maybe too small.

Huddersfield would be ideal, would settle with going to Warrington though.

I would have liked Langtree Park for the semi final but the LSV will also be a good choice. Ticks the boxes for me and if its on a Sunday that is another bonus.

Capacity at Leigh is actually 12,700 and it would be a worthy venue.

It would look great to have a sold out cup semi final on TV. I myself would however be looking to purchase a ticket for it from Leigh RLFC's ticket office as I have done with all the previous big games held there as I live right on it's doorstep.

The atmosphere generated at a full LSV is absolutely electric. There was over 10,000 people at the Tonga v The Cook Islands World Cup match last November. It was a splendid night.

Leigh are home to Fev that day which could obviously be moved forward a day but may not make it a cert for the semi as some believe.

If it is at Leigh, I'll be there, and surprisingly for some of you, as a Cas supporter.

Dont think Cas have played at the LSV ??

Fantastic ground and fantastic atmosphere. Holds well over 12k and will be a cracker.

Great that there will be someone different at Wembley this year. Its just a pity that 25 to 1 shot Leigh could not have joined you. !!

Enjoy Cas fans. No better sight than fans mingling together on the concourse with a pint in your hand !

I agree HRJr, I went to the Tonga game as well. I will be at the LSV watching Leigh take on Halifax as I decided to get a season ticket for me and the lad for only £160. I might try to get a ticket for the LSV box office, thanks for the tip icon_smile.gif

You'll enjoy going to the LSV. It's a cracking stadium. Just make sure you have transport sorted beforehand as it would take forever to get there on public transport. There is no train station.
