Did anyone see anything untoward in regards to this.

I don't remember any player running into an official yesterday.

I ve just seen the highlights and Tanse does push Roby, slightly but doesn't knock him over or anything, who has got himself into the worst position he could have and running backwards however to give him a 2-3 match ban for that when Paea's cannonball on Owen is only a 1-2 match ban is stupidity of the highest order imho

so basically a player can break another players jaw and get away with a lenient 3 games, and then a player can push an obstructing official who was impeding play and get the same number of matches? what a joke the RFL is

Saw the Tansey incident, was right in front of me. It was either push him out the way or the ref falls over him. It'll be ridiculous if he gets a ban for that.

surely the disciplinary panel must realised that players defending their own line are 100% switched on to the attacking team - Tansey wouldn't have had time to think...

He's not even looking at Roby, he's watching the play and nudges him out the way when he backs into him, entirely Roby's fault - to say he used "unnecessary force" wouldn't have even crossed him mind, he just wanted/needed to get accros to the attackers

Agreed; sadly.

The difference between a McIlorum and a Tansey incident is that the broken nose issue has to take into consideration that you are aiming to tackle legally and may do it wrong. They decide on intent or accident though it's still clearly illegal.

Pushing a ref is never an accident. It is not part of the game so no accident option available.
I haven't seen it but an athlete like Tansey can easily move quicker than a ref. Should have moved.

I recon a 1 or 2 match ban at the most. 3 games out for that would be ridiculous.
