HKR bound! heard this is the player we have offerd you money for! its been doing the rounds on both HKR message boards now for a week!

It got mentioned on the Hkr forum once, by a Hull fc fan.

Based on 3 years ago, I'd be disappointed, based on 2012 Richard Owen, less so.

Who knows, I find it difficult to think anyone would sign him without knowing clarity on his potential custodial sentence.

I'd snap their hands off too but aren't HKR in a worse financial positional than us? If he was to leave do we play Tansey at full back and invested Owen's (reported) 6-figure salary into two forwards?

another young player allowed to go off the rails at cas. imo this is due to having head coach(es) that have no idea of man managing young players and no interest in thier development as players or people, but instead are more interested in boosting their ego and CV in order to get back to the NRL as soon as something comes up !

Few can deny that 2012 wasn't a great season for RO.

However, the frustration that he showed at times, was obvious proof that both his …and the teams performance mattered to him. A passion that was sadly lacking by many others in 2012!!!

I’d like to see Owen stay, and see how he gets on with an all together better squad and all together better team attitude around him. 2013 will be time for him to step forward and shine!!

No problem for me, he can get the mini bus every morning from Xscape with Goldie, Westerman and Watts. Bottle of vodka and a case of Stella on the back seat.

Yet another person who blames the club for all the ills and fever in this world. Richard Owen is an ADULT and should make decisions accordingly. He is in a very fortunate position to be getting paid for playing RL and his behaviour should reflect that. He knows right from wrong and getting into a fight on Christmas Day in the next town is not what he should be doing. Yes, he's young but so are 99% of other people on a night out but I don't see them acting the "big I am" in town. He should be disciplined and then left to get on with his rugby. For too lond "player power" has ruled our club and I am sick of it. If the players don't like what the management are doing then wave them on their merry way. I want to see players who WANT to play for Castleford and we have got a good base of players who want just that. A successful 2013 (top would give us the footing to again progress in 2014.

If & a Big if Owen went to Hull KR that puts the squad to 23 with no back up at all unless we have decided now that Rangi is staying we have Tansy to play full back so we need to of load a player. so we get rid of Owen and blame it on is Cort case. So the saga gos on by the start of the season if we believe all these roomers of players wonting to go we will only have are first seventeen

But with Owen's (alledged) 6-figure salary freed up we could re-invest that in two quality forwards that are a bigger need to our squad than a jumped up idiot who will end up wasting his natural talent.

Tansey and OWen are very similar - however I suspect Tansey could play anywhere across the back line. Would be nice to see another player signed for the front row - even if it's only low budget to fill the suad out a little

If they do get shut of Owen, Mr Ferres should re-ashore the fans that the money would be re-invested and is not another cost cutting exercise

just reinvest a percentage of it - maybe look at one of the good front rowers from the championship as a squad filler
