| If castleford are to perform at their maximum, the player must respect Millward. it is a two edged sword and Millward must also treat the players with respect, we hear rumours of how he treated players and we hear him on local radio being very abrupt. I think it is a big ask and I doubt if this will happen as Ian Millward is ian Millward and you cant teach an old dog new tricks.
Cas can only afford him half a dozen games at the most and then a judgement must be made. John kear seems an ideal replacement for me, forget about style of rugby for starters I am afraid it is all about winning, a few wins makes all the difference to team spirit and performances ask Rich Agar.
Anyway onwards and upwards, always knew Wheldon Road would be our spiritual home, too many ashes of supporters scattered there to move.

| Apart from a few - most players can't stand him. Time for him to go for me and I would rather us get rid of him now.

| I would argue that if Cas perform a la last season, he will be gone by the midpoint of the season.
From what i here, he wants absolute professionalism from his players and they aren't too keen.
If this is true (and the only problem) its obvious who should go, but its easier (or cheeper) to get rid of one coach than half a team of contracted players.

Completely agree with that.
John Kear is a big game coach not a season coach

47035_1386433761.gif We can be bold enough to make a stand and do battle for our views and beliefs. But we must strive to be mature enough not to resort to unnecessary personal attacks upon people with opposing views.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_47035.gif |

| Maybe the lack of professionalism is why there has been such a big turn over in players? Just a thought.

30462.jpg [b:3oz7jfnu]Wigan Warriors coach Shaun Wane told BBC Radio Manchester:
"Some people within the club [Castleford] have come out with comments saying we're beatable and it's a great game for them and they're very confident.
Many of the comments I've heard have been bordering on disrespectful.
They can be as confident as they want, but they're going to get a tough game this weekend and we'll be trying our best to make sure they don't get that win.
We've played in some big games over these last few years and they've not played in as many, if any, so to be that confident is very risky for them.
They come here with confidence because they've scored a lot of points and beaten us at home, but I wouldn't be overconfident if I was them."
[u:3oz7jfnu]Incidentally Wane's mob got stuffed 16 - 4[/u:3oz7jfnu] [/b:3oz7jfnu]:30462.jpg |

| As i have posted previously Millward has no respect whatsoever in our club, the fact that he wants things done on a more professional basis within our club is also going on deaf ears from those above
Lets all just face it here but we are a club whereby the players do just as they wish each day and that the club coach doesn't have the backing of anyone?
the culture of our club is a complete shambles and which is more akin to a Sunday amateur pub side
before i get pummeled for this post, i have been told this information by a player that has recently retired and is no longer at the club

| I would expect that if he's not won at least 3 of his first 7 games he'll be gone.
I think the pressure will well and truly be pushed on him.

| If Millward wants respect he has to earn it, not expect it. I would save time and get rid of him now, he has taken our club backwards if anything.

So it should be, he stole a living last year, he makes the team perform or we get someone who can, simple as that.

Couldn't have put it better myself, to many people ready to make excuses for him in my opinion, if a player performed so poorly people would want him dropped. Even if we are lucky enough to get shut of him early on it will still set us back significantly.

| I have been a cas fan for a long time, the players that took to the field this year need to stand back and take a good look at them selves and give it all they have and stop blaming things on Millward this as been going on for as long as i can remember the players are paid well for playing a game most of us have played for the fun of it so if they do not want to play because they do not like the boss then they should try a 40 hour week for £6 per hour

| Ian Millward needs to earn respect? for real? Lets not forget he is a coach with 2 Super League Titles, 2 Challenge Cups and a World Club Challenge trophy in the bank, yes with a good set of players at St Helens but you still have to win them, whats wrong with a coach wanting to install a bit of professionalism to the squad? if your players don't want to act professional for an established club like Cas then its pretty much a waste of time.

You don't get respect by treating your squad like dirt.
All those trophies were over a decade ago too, look what he's done with full time teams since3 wins
North Queensland - 14 games 2 wins
Cas - 28 games 6 wins (missed 2? games though so 6 from 26)
43 losses, wow massive respect! Even if you add in his Saints record he's barely over 50%.
So a poor coach who treats his players like dirt should get automatic respect, right oh! He should have never got the job and he should have been sacked after the Fev debacle.
