In his statement SF states changes are in the pipeline. We all can see that something is not right so maybe just maybe the board had the foresight to make changes months ago and so in came Ian Millward to start that process. Maybe the driving force behind Ian Millwards appointment was RW and it has gone badly wrong so that coupled with the stadium project driven by RW also led to another change in him stepping down and SF coming in.
What that has done for the club is to allow them now to start again, put some honest facts out as statements and make a good review of things during the close season. On the playing front we have some signings, ok probably identified by IM but at least there is some quality there to add to our existing players of quality. Some will leave so it is all upsetting for eveyone hence the performances on the field (no excuse though for professionals) but hey ho but at least I feel that changes are in the pipeline.

I 'backed' Ian Millward a couple of weeks ago but have to admit I think I got that wrong. On the positive front for the first time ever a Castleford board member has publicly stated that we need change quick.
All this came to a head because of the humiliating result against Wakefield. Think you did us a favour you Wildcats

I think we've been stale for a while and have needed fresh ideas and changes in some respects.

That said, if you believe rumours, RW stepped down due to the fact that he was apparently told that investment was waiting in the wings that would come in if he was no longer in charge.

Steve Ferres is a brutally honest fella and completely different from RW at the Meet the Directors. I have every faith that he'll get rid of the deadwood and bad - if given the opportunity - and put in some solid foundations.

But the fans need to similarly wipe the slate clean on this season and start again next season. We cannot be seen to be weak by the RFL and this is an ideal opportunity for us to build a dynasty for the future.

Yes 'Fully' I agree. As supporters we have to put this season behind us just the same as many other clubs have to every season, sometimes when only half way through the season.
We are not in such a bad position because at least we have a CEO who has come in and stated that we have to rebuild from a honest platform and that in view of recent goings on at some clubs is not a bad thing. We can only move forward I just hope that the players are up for the challenge.

Tigers to stay at Wheldon Road ? Restructuring of the BOD ? Millward to be stood down ? It all seems very sketchy at the moment.

After reading SF's statement I will be buying my season ticket for next year. Nice to hear a bit of honesty for a change.

This also needs to take place amonst us fans. Yes the club has endured one of its worse seasons ever but this is the time that we should all pull together to ensure that it is not repeated again next season.

I've met Steve a few times with my association with Swag,Steve Ferris leads with his head,he's not scared to make tough decisions and says it as it is,sometimes when he possibly shouldn't!But he's a knowledgeable guy and you'll be ok with him.Onwards and upwards guys!!

I think the major changes that cannot be disclosed yet are related to our sponsors (particularly our main sponsor). Did you notice there were advertising hoardings missing at out last home game?
I believe we are having major problems within this field that is affecting our cash-flow. Not much more I can say on here – but believe me – I would like to.

I think you'll find the missing hoardings are the ones that have been removed because the SL deal with Elonex ended, nothing to do with Cas.

Equally, the shirt has fully signed up with sponsors and has more money on it than ever before (Fozz's words) and I also happen to believe that we have a new stadium sponsor too. Sponsorship is not an issue at all.

The issue is the supporticon_surprised.gifutgoings ratio.

Fully - I'm not talking about next year's sponsorship. The cash hasn't come in for this year.
