Looks like the first step to the new Supermarket on Wheldon Road has happened: https://planning.wakefield.gov.uk/onlin ... L95QQ06E00

With an announcement due in 4-5 weeks from the club, it's looking more likely that the news will be something positive and in regards to planning permission don't you think?

Oh and note: no trolling in this thread please, it'd be nice to have a stadium thread not descend into pettiness.

In the same way that the rest of the rugby league world seems to think it is fine for Wigan, Leigh and Saints, Warrington to have new grounds close by to each other, my hope is that we will both have brand spanking new stadiums. Then what will the RFL do?

There are two sites that are being looked at in Cas, but as I said before the fact neither are earmarked for the Cas ground doesn't really matter. The arrangement is still planned to get the funding necessary for GH. I'm not entirely sure why OPUS are doing it, but still thats the plan.
