Always admired Danny when he played for us and was disappointed when he left.

His best years may be behind him, but he still seems to be able to do a job for Quins and hopefully will do the same for us at half back or hooker for a year or so. With him in the coaching setup he can hopefully pass on skills and experience to the kids.

I am happy with this as long as he is not Sherwin's replacement. If he is signed to be a interchange hooker with Hudson then I am all for it.

We arent getting a new signing to replace sherwin, we signed mathers so goldy can move into the halfs.

Really pleased with danny coming back will give us a good hooker to rotate with hudson.

I was gutted when he left at the end of 2003 and will be glad to have him back next year. I think his years away will only be a benefit to the club upon his return.

Nice to have him back. But I'm glad it's only a 1 year deal and that we're giving him some coaching duties as well. You can't fault that.

Lets hope that we've got him for reasonable money!! I like both Danny and Hudson, but if we end up paying him a similar amount to Hudson and like Hudson only get 40 mins a game out of him...then I'm not so sure how Astute it is.

That was my prediction when the Mathers deal was announced. Orr can provide the scrum half cover we haven't had since Sherwin left with Milner/Clark backfilling at hooker if/when he moves to 7.
