McGoldrick to 2012
Do we have any quota places left for next year and does the number of imports per club reduce after the 2010 season ?

Huby, Owen, Westerman, Shenton, Boyle, Massey, Thompson, Arundel, Cording, Davies, Gledhill, Walker

So we have filled all our quota spots, meaning that no overseas players will be coming next year, unless we get rid of one of our quota players, which looks pretty unlikely.
For 2011 we can only have 5 overseas players, so it looks like one of Sherwin, Sargent and Chase will be leaving at the end of next year - I imagine it'll be Sherwin.

How long do players after be here before they come off the quota?
I Thought it was 5 year. Surely Mcgoldrick and Evans have been here for that period.

werent they signed under the impression that they would then become "off quota", as can be seen from the initial posts of the thread there isnt any space for quota players |

Even if they were off quota there wouldn't be any space for both of them in the six overseas trained spots. Even if Evans hadn't been re-signed. |

because of the new "Gene exemption" rules, players meeting certain criteria , i.e. being in the country long enough, can apply to become federation trained, Stanly Gene is the main example, but Willie Manu at Hull is also going through this process |
