Looking Hull bound according to this and just a case of sorting a fee out:-
www.thisishullandeastriding.co.u ... story.html
I'm sure the local business's in Cas Vegas (Nando's, Lloyds bar - Winter Seam, Bet-Fred, William Hills, Excape and all the pubs) will be thrilled to bits that collectively they will be getting half of Hull FC's salary cap in trade next year.

| Considering who Rangi was out with on the night he got himself suspended I suspect foul play here big time. Shame really I used to have a lot of respect for Hull.

You not name dropping Garth?
Anyway, why is this true? Because the Hull Daily Mail says so? If the Cas n Ponte said the same about us signings Billy Slater, Greg Inglis, Paul Gallen, etc would it be any more true? A "source close to Castleford" usually relates to the reporters brother, cousins, wife's, sister's, hairdressers!!!!
If RC does leave it'll be on OUR terms and no one elses!!!

| No I am not name dropping but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out .
Unfortunately I think it will just come to a point where he will become so obstructive we will just be happy to get him off the wage bill.

| The HDM could at least check their facts:
The clubs did NOT agree any sort of transfer for Arundel - he was out of contract.
Sounds to me like they've taken the RLFans Hull forum rumour and spun it out to make an article.

I think you will find that even though Arundel was out of contract the fact that he is under the age of 22 means that FC have to pay Cas compensation which i assume is what the story in the HDM is alluding to.

Isn't that a set amount of compensation, though, depending on their age and how many years they've played in that club's academy.
Either way - hardly the agreement that the HDM seems to be spinning this off.

| Well at least it's better than the article they ran in the week where they just flat out made up stuff to fit the story they were running

| Overall rangi chase has been a very good player for Cas and a such is bound to attract interest from other clubs. No-one expects to keep a player forever; they come and go. The trick for the club is to ensure that a player leaves on the clubs terms and not the players.
If RC leaves and Cas get a decent fee (anything over £250,000) then we'll have done ok. Whether that then effects the perceived ambition of the club and in turn season ticket sales is another matter. I'm glad it's not a decision I have to take!!

I wouldn't accept a penny under 500k, show the fans that he was only sold because of a stupid fee being offered then reinvest that money into the squad.
Accepting anything less is a slap in the face to the fans.

There is no way on earth would you get 500K, I would want Thurston or Marshall for that kind of money! and if he is unhappy at Cas there would be no point keeping a disinterested player.
I reckon the clubs will settle for about 250K, the question is whether it happens before the looming SL transfer deadline, or whether it happens at the end of the season.

Well he isn't.

No they wont, teams have been told to get lost with higher bids (one paper even suggested it would take 700k!)
You know why the club are sticking a big fee on him? Because they don't want to sell him, the same goes with Daryl Clark.
Just like every year this is Hull fans getting all worked up into thinking they will get Chase - once again the only people talking about it are Hull fans, there's nothing in it like every year.
It will be a halfback McRae has worked with before - Holdsworth or Myler.

Haha i knew a Hull fan would come up with this drivel, hes going nowhere unless one club breaks their piggy bank!
Gronk is right anything less than a massive fee, is selling the club and fans short, not only do players of his quality rarely become available but he plays in the key position of halfback plus technically hes not available for another 3 years and you face stiff competition.
CASTLEFORD DO NOT WANT RID OF ONE OF THE BEST PLAYERS IN SUPERLEAGUE NOT NOW! NOT EVER!
