| To try and blame Nick Youngquest on the loss yesterday shows a basic lack of understanding of the game.
He was one of the best players on the pitch yesterday - for either team. Or are you trying to blame the freak bounce try on him? Because even if he was Eorl Crabtree sized he wouldn't have got that!
If everyone put in the same effort and ran like Youngquest this team would be doing far better in the league.
Now if you'd have said Kirk Dixon and Brett Ferres on the other hand....
Ferres yesterday: 2 missed tackles that resulted directly in tries, conceded a stupid penalty.
Dixon: Missed easy conversions, 2 stupid offloads which resulted in turnovers, missed tackles.

I seem to remember a wakey poster being vilified for a similar comment.
As for the game, most players made mistakes, to single anyon out is a little harsh, however for me Owen (who is perpetually touted as a star of the future by Messrs Clarke and Hemming's, god knows how or why!?!), made some real howlers in both attack and defense as I recall.
The result could have gone either way, on the flip of a coin of numerous mistakes from both sides.

It wasn't a threat - it was a recollection of what happened to Sandal when he said something similar, he took some abuse for that.
Oh and enjoy the ban you will be getting you had your warning and ignored it

| Youngquest is one of the players that gives 100% every game. He's the only player with real, genuine pace and makes a lot of metres coming off his own line.
I would retain him in our squad every day of the year. He was extremely unlucky for the bounce of the ball but I do think he stood too deep in the first place for the kick.

I think he only stood as deep as he did because Owen ignored Youngquest's calls from him to move over to that side (Tim Smith had pointed to where the kick was going).

Sorry - I didn't mean deep. I meant he was nearer to the defensive line than he should have been and should have been further back. When the ball is kicked he actually he moves about 5-10m forward. Had he stayed where he was he could have snapped it up on the second bounce probably.

That might have had something to do with the wind? The flight of the ball might have changed or something.
