A mate of mine who is a big Cas fan told me last week that Chase has signed a two year contract extension with you guys but Twitter is going mad saying hes signed for us. Just wondered if you guys know anything about where his future lies. With Deacon retiring id love a player of that quality at Wigan.

Until the club announce this contract extension people will speculate. The club need to put these rumours to bed one way or another.

Reading between the lines I think Cas set a fee for him, a few clubs have matched it but the player is happy to stay... And maybe for visa reasons too.

There is no way ANY team will have matched HALF A MILLION that the club supposedly want for him (+ a 150k+ for wages). |

Looks like rumour-mongering to me - a lot of hot air and no real substance from any reliable source. Perhaps people are working on that premise that if you say something enough, others will start to believe it. Until I hear anything from the club, hot air is what this will remain.

| my original post does mention the contract extension till 2015, i was merely asking if anyone here who is close to the club had heard anything. i was told the extension would be announced tuesday, its now wednesday and the twitter threads are saying something else. It was just a question. |
