Read on another post about RHINOS in Cas. Well for my part (Barnsley Tiger) once a Cas Fan always a Cas Fan. My second team is Wakefield and my Glory Hunter team is Wigan. Please comment

No second team, no "glory hunter" team - why would you want either of those?

I love the sport so having a 2nd - 3rd team makes it interesting. Problem now is if Cas sell Rangi then some supporters are finished with our club, wander who they will support now!!

Personally, nobody I'll be done with the sport too.

Cas can't hold onto players that excite the fans and improve the team and the RFL couldn't organise a you know what in a brewery, the whole sport is a mess.

Cas were here before Rangi Chase and will be here long after he has left the club. The challenge is to unearth the next Rangi Chase to build the team around. Castleford Tigers is in my blood and despite regular outbursts of "that's me done", I know deep down that I never will!!!

Why bring players though just to release them when they become household names.

Because it's obviously that RC has had his head turned for whatever reason and is (or will soon be) a negative influenece around the team. Let's cut our losses now and as I've said on a different thread, use the salary saved on 2/3 good players and also use the transfer fee (I'd settle for anything over £250K) towards next seasons salary cap (another 3 good quality players). This would give us 6 quality players for losing Rangi Chase. With an improved league position and a decent cup run, we could easily recoup the transfer fee and be in a stronger position to entice better levels of sponsorship, better players, etc. Hence, RC leaving could be a blessing in disguise.

...then induldge him, mis-manage him, let him betray the club's trust and then sell him for a fraction of the price we could have got 12 months earlier.

That's the way to run a club, just watch those gates swell.

So RC has changed his mind (or been swayed by the number of bars on Prinny Ave in Hull). Who cares, let him go and find out that the grass isn't always greener. Castleford Tigers will survive and go on without him. I thought RC was different when he gave it all the "I love Cas, Cas is my home, it's the only place I want to be, bull and if he does ever appear in a Cas shirt again, it'll take a lot for me to cheer for him or sing his name. I'd be more likely to boo him if he ever wears the balck and amber again.
