Absolute rubbish to suggest dirty play is coached. Wigan are no dirtier than any other team. Foul play costs penalties which costs field position which loses games. Would we have won the double if we were continually giving penalties away?

McIlorum deserved to go, simple as that. Cas deserved to win too.

Enjoy the victory and hope it is the sign of better times ahead. But don't ruin it by talking nonsense.

I don't think it's coached from Wigan - i just think wigan have always had a player in their team at any one point who has that in ther game. McIllorum takes more than his share of cheap shots - and as I said on the wigan board earlier, that will ultimately cost Wigan their crowns if he's a penalty machine/banned/binned all season.

I can only go off what a Wigan employee has told me. That Wane encourages late hits on kickers and also coaches "snapping the pole" which refers to attacking players legs whilst stationary.

Wigan's coaches at lower levels have been heard shouting "snap the pole" in the past too (although that was when Maguire was in charge of the first team, not Wane).

Wigan dirty? Never, they even think they win grandfinals due to skill and not breaking ankles, ribs and fracturing skulls.
