| Quote: frank5613 "The £50 membership giving two games cant have cost that much for the club, when it came out I bought one for me one for my wife, & another for my father, none of us are able to go to games due to illness, & in the wife's case not interested, so that's £150 down the swanny just from my end, my sons will still get their tickets but I wont be buying then knowing I wont be able to go.
I know for a fact that there was a lot more than me who bought the memberships knowing they wouldn't be used, so the club are loosing out, I even offered to build up all the boxes free of charge, when Mr Gill was asking for volunteers, so they would have saved money there.
But I'm disappointed this season will be my first in forty years I haven't had a season ticket or the new membership, I didn't mind buying the £50 bronze package to give out to my family & friends for Christmas presents, but I wont be buying a full season ticket for me not to use it.'"
Due to last seasons memberships the club LOST £40k with the supplying the ruck sacks and the stuff in them add to that they LOST £10k on not charging admin fee's for the people who payed for their season tickets via the monthly plan too.. What would you prefer? A) a ruck sack or B) another decent player that the club could have? I know that i'm not bothered about a ruck sack but would like to see a good forward on the pitch.

| Actually they lost £39,99.01. I didn't get a ruck sack in my pack.
I'm going to call you out on this though. How have they lost money on membership sales? Do you mean that the cost of the packs was £40k? Because that isn't a loss. They tried that membership scheme to try and sell more tickets. If the membership gear cost £40k all the target is for it to help sell around 200 of the full season tickets to make it worthwhile.
The bronze is great for people that can't get often. It gives the club money, it commits you to games and if the team is going well you hope that those Bronze membership buyers will turn up for a few games and pay on the gate. Worked on me, I've been to more games this year than I have in a good long time.

I would prefer a peace of plastic with bronze member printed on it, or even a piece of card with bronze member printed on it, I don't attend because I don't have the time or work, I dint attend due to illness, something what isn't going to get better with time, but more the opposite.
I don't want a box with a beanie & a pen, none of that matters to me in the slightest, all I wanted was to still feel part of the club we have supported for 70 years, & myself 40 years, respectively.
Last season I bought the memberships for me, him & her indoors even though they wouldn't ever be used, we gave two away to be raffled of for the hospital ward I frequent, & the other we used the membership card for when we went to the shops or restaurants, it looks like next season will be the first time I haven't been a ticket holder.
You could say that I have thrown money away for the years I haven't been able to go to games, I didn't mind giving the club my £50 x 3 because I will always be a fan, but now everything is on hold for me I cant afford the full season ticket when I wont be attending, I got a call from Mr Gill & he told me they would be doing something along the same lines as this year because it was a great success, but just having a full season ticket isn't along the same lines, it's back to were we was before we started the membership scheme.
I still see the majority of home & away games due to the DVDs the club sells & nothing will change there, nor will the merchandise I buy, but the season ticket will be given a miss unless the club comes out with something later on, but for now I wont be buying, that's £150 plus what we bought for other family members, the boxes mean nothing it was the membership what counted.

| I think the club could do something along the lines of the bronze membership or even a half season ticket, but price them where it would be better for the club obviously to get a full season ticket.
Shall be getting my pass for next year even given reservations about the possible half back problem for 2014...onwards and upwards (hopefully)!

^^Top man.
I really want Cas to sort out game videos online and sell a subscription to that. Like an online Tigers TV. You can pay an amount and watch all the game online. Live would be amazing but a day or so after would be just as good. The overheads will be sweet FA compared to DVDs too so the club would make more profit. I'm sure I emailed or twittered them about it. Not sure I got a response.

| For people like me who still have love RL especially Castleford Tigers, that would be a god send to me, I enjoy watching the DVDs with Mick commentating but he sometimes looses me with his nicknames, if something could be done through the club to stream the game either live or delayed, it would be well worth it for people like me who are basically house bound, & it would make extra cash for the club.
I did think someone was trying to sort something out but it's gone quiet, but I hope someone starts it off, I would definitely subscribe.
