It seemed like a genuine mistake from him thinking that Foster was playing on and so just tackled him.
Sadly, Hicks saw it as a deliberate attempt to prevent Foster from taking a quick tap and rightly binned him for it I guess.'"
A bit of naivety and inexperience I think - he read the situation poorly and made a mistake which he'll learn from. The sin-bin was for delaying the restart, something Hicks can record in what'll be a relatively short 'Correct Calls' column when he does his review.
Whilst our defence was poor overall again you can see the improvement and it was actually very good in parts. When you consider that Bradford scored a try with position gained from a debatable penalty; then another after a penalty from a non-existent high tackle and a pass of the floor; that pegs them back to 24 points. Then there was our shambolic failure to deal with the kick off which lead to another try (but should be easy to put right), 18 points.
The biggest leveler in the game was holding down and interference at the play the ball though - but I always expect that from Bradford because they've played like it for years. The difference comes when you have match officials that are strong enough to deal with it, few of which actually exist.
