Quote: Junglefever "I never expected to receive the 2 points from this outcome, but I feel that the RFL have now set a president, based upon the rumoured league restructuring, I await the time when a team fighting against relegation does the same thing, and ends up staying up in the top flight. A £10K fine will be nothing in comparison to the money lost/gained!'"
Giving points to Cas was not an option open to the RFL according to their own rules. They could have indirectly benefited by a points deduction to Salford effectively voiding the game.
Instead the RFL top up the bank account. If I was a cynic, I would be keeping my eyes open for new facilities being built at Bradford costing in the region of £10,000.
