The charge down rule was trialed in the pre-season games but not adopted in the rule changes for this season. That's how the confusion has arisen, I was one of those who thought it had been.

Some refs have enforced that rule during the season too, good to know that the RFL communicate these sort of things to the officials.

Actually, the first offence in that play was Wigan standing a yard offside at the PTB which led to the DG attempt. Just because Halibut didn't see it doesn't mean it shouldn't have been given.

I agree disco but if you look at the ref i don't think he had any idea what was going on, he was going toward the defences line and then gave the penalty, so he must have had a call, but a lot off other things went on, what was let go, it was a definite penalty for the head high tackle, between their 30=40 mark,

Cummings has gone so they need to get some one in who is not one off the lads, and who is prepared to give them a right bolaking, when they get some decisions so badly wrong
