I believe he is refering to the incident where peacock attacked the head of daz clark with a swinging arm, which for reasons known only to rfl did not make it onto the disciplinary section of the rfl website despite the fact that peacock was penalised for it.
If anyone has an explanation for this i would love to hear it but i shall not be holding my breath.

I see hardaker has retracted his accusation in the face of evidence, he has done it very poorly however, he has missed a chance to apologise like a man should and comes across as a petulant child who has been caught cheating by the teacher.

Hope the club appeal this, the only reason there was any contact with the head was that hardaker fell into the tackle, chase lined up a perfectly legal shoulder charge (even bending his knees to keep it as low as he could) all shoulder charges now presumably count as reckless with this ruling?

Noticed at least one report (sporting life) is still claiming hardaker was knocked out, despite the fact the video shows he wasn't, disappointing standard of journalism.

My only problem is that there does seem to have been an element of 'trial by media', coaches and players in partuicular need to be prevented from discussing incidents before a verdict is reached. Not much can be done to stop journalists commenting though.
And I don't think Hardaker did himself any favours by claiming Chase had led with the elbow, to then change his mind when the RFL charge was contact made by the shoulder.

Totally agree with all this NottsTiger. We've lost out star man for 2 games (didn't Basil say we need to learn to play without Roger?) nowt major. Anyway like you say a game we wasn't expected to win against our nearest and dearest rivals. Expecting some real fireworks when we go to Headingley.  |
