| Personally i think moving to newmarket would be suicide for us and the only team to benefit would be wakey, hopefully we never have to find out.

Agreed Pyeman. It needs putting to bed by the club ASAP IMO. The uncertainty is causing unrest with some of the fans but I can understand the club wanting to keep its options open.
Maybe they are waiting for a clearer indication on which way the game is heading. i.e. P&R and less emphasis on ground development, a reduction in SL teams and so on.

| The latest 'rumoured' plan doing the rounds is that the training pitch and car park is to be sold off for housing to finance some vital ground improvements at WR.

Been doing the rounds for quite a while that one. Cannot see it happening myself. We cannot sell the ground so why try and sell part of it ? Who would want to live on the door step of a RL stadium anyway ?

| I 'm not sure but I think the houses on Princess Street were there before the stadium.

Would be used for 'affordable housing' I should guess. They are not going to build these types of developments in leafy suburbs as the land prices would be too high, somewhere like the training ground would be the type of area they would target.

| I could understand selling off the car park next to the training pitch for "affordable housing "and using part or all of the pitch for parking, but that would not raise much to "improve" the ground. Essential repairs and a make-over only.

| If you're looking at housing that won't generate anywhere near the money you need for a new stadium of your own.
If you move to NM from the start I think you have a chance of establishing a "ground share" mentality, ie neither ours nor yours. If you come late to the party (any later than May IMO) the ground will forever be seen as the home of Wakefield Trinity.
Although if you'd prefer to go to Donny.

That would raise about £3m. Wouldn't even build us a new stand.

| I don't think its to build a new stand, more make essential repairs to existing fixtures and fittings around the place.
